Author's POV:
Jimin's school...
Taemin looked helplessly at his best friend, who sat hunched over with reddened eyes and trembling shoulders. Jimin had been crying his heart out since arriving that morning, his usual brightness completely dimmed by whatever was troubling him.
Taemin: "Can you stop crying, Jimin? I still don't understand what the problem is. You haven't said a word since you came, even during the exam you were crying. What's wrong, buddy? Talk to me." His voice was gentle but full with frustration
Jimin couldn't hold back his tears anymore. His face crumpled as fresh sobs escaped him. Only God knew how he had managed to keep it together until Yoongi dropped him at school. His small hands balled into fists, determination flashing through his tear-filled eyes. He was not going to lose to that woman.
Taemin sighed and wrapped his arms around Jimin's shoulders, pulling him into a comforting hug. Jimin's body shook against him as he cried, but gradually his breathing steadied and the tears subsided.
Jimin: "Yo-Yoongi hyung... now ha-has a girlfriend." His voice was broken and hoarse from crying, his lips quivering as he forced the words out.
Taemin pulled back, his eyebrows knitting together in confusion. He tilted his head slightly, not understanding why this was such a devastating problem.
Taemin: "And? Is she treating you badly?" His tone was soft, eyes searching Jimin's face for clues.
Jimin shook his head vigorously, wiping his tears with the back of his hand in aggressive swipes. His eyes were puffy and red, his cheeks flushed with emotion.
Jimin: "No... I don't want to deal with her at all. She's the one who prepared our breakfast, and you should see how my hyung looks at her." His voice turned bitter, shoulders slumping. "He loves her so much, and not only Yoongi hyung but all of them. They all were happy that she's back. I don't like it, but I can't say anything because Yoongi hyung talked to me last night and told me he's happy that she's back, so I should be happy for him. But I'm not... not at all." His words tumbled out faster, body tensing with each sentence. "I wish she would leave and never come back. She's taking my place in his heart. He used to look at me all the time, but now... he's looking at her."
His voice broke on the last word, and he covered his face with both hands as another wave of tears overtook him. His small body shook with sobs.
Taemin placed a gentle hand on Jimin's shoulder, leaning in with concern written across his face.
Taemin: "Hey, Minmin! Stop crying. Okay, I understand now. You have the right to hate her, but what are you going to do now?" His voice was soft but practical, trying to get his friend to think beyond his pain.
Jimin wiped his tears, closing his eyes and trying to inhale deeply. His chest rose and fell as he fought to regain control of his emotions.
Jimin: "I don't know... But I want my Yoongi hyung back for me... and only me." He crossed his arms over his chest stubbornly, his jaw set in a determined line, though his bottom lip still trembled slightly.
Taemin shifted closer, his expression thoughtful but encouraging.
Taemin: "So... can you try to tell him that? Didn't he ask you to open up to him? Tell him you don't want her. I'm sure he'll listen." His eyes were hopeful, hands gesturing expressively.
Jimin shook his head definitively, his gaze dropping to the floor, shoulders slumping in defeat.
Jimin: "I can't. He told me that she loves what he loves... She respects him and will do whatever she thinks will make him happy, so I should be better than her." His face fell with disappointment, his voice barely above a whisper, fingers fidgeting nervously in his lap.
