Flashback two weeks ..
In Taehyung's Office
Author's POV:
Taehyung sat drowning in an ocean of paperwork, his desk completely buried under towering stacks of files that seemed to multiply before his eyes. His shoulders were hunched with exhaustion, and dark circles shadowed his tired eyes.
Yoongi: "I'm sorry, Tae. I know I'm giving you too much work, but I just can't trust anyone outside of us. The others have gotten busy with their own tasks." His voice was heavy with guilt as he watched Taehyung's weary face. He shifted uncomfortably, knowing he was asking too much of his brother.
Taehyung let out a deep, tired sigh that seemed to come from his very soul. He rubbed his temples slowly before looking up at Yoongi with exhausted but understanding eyes.
Taehyung: "Don't apologize, hyung. I'm happy that I can help. You know how much I enjoy working with you." His voice was gentle but strained, trying to hide how overwhelmed he truly felt.
Yoongi's face twisted with concern, his eyebrows pulling together in a worried frown. He knew this was a sensitive topic, but he couldn't ignore Taehyung's struggle any longer. He had to bring this up carefully, without triggering painful memories.
Yoongi: "But it's too much, Tae. You really need to think about getting a secretary. You can't handle all of this on your own. J-Hope, Jungkook, and I all have our own secretaries to handle this kind of work." His voice was soft but firm, trying to convince without pressuring.
Taehyung's body tensed immediately, his hands gripping the edge of his desk until his knuckles turned white. He hesitated, his mind racing to find excuses, any excuse to avoid what Yoongi was suggesting. Not ready to get involved in this conversation ..
Taehyung: "You said it yourself - Joonie hyung and Jin hyung don't have secretaries, so I just follow their example." His voice was shaky, and he couldn't quite meet Yoongi's eyes.
Yoongi shot Taehyung a sharp, skeptical look, clearly not buying his weak excuse. His eyes narrowed with understanding - he could see right through Taehyung's deflection.
Yoongi: "That's because a café doesn't need a secretary, Tae. They took that role to handle the café matters. But in the factory, each of us needs someone to handle our schedules and meetings. Don't pretend you don't understand, Tae." His voice grew firmer, frustration creeping in despite his efforts to stay gentle.. Someone needs to put an end to this , Tae needs to face the reality that he won't stay away all his life from people to be around him ... to start with a secretary that can roam around him .. this would be a perfect start for him to get used to it ..
Taehyung fell completely silent, his eyes dropping to stare at the pile of files in front of him. His breathing became shallow and quick, panic starting to build in his chest. Yoongi's heart broke seeing his brother's distress, and he moved closer, gently taking Taehyung's trembling hand in his own.
Yoongi: "I know it's hard, Tae. But you can still create the space you need, even if there's someone else nearby. Maybe having a secretary will help you feel better and let you know that there is nothing to be afraid of." His voice was now tender and caring, trying to offer comfort and hope.
Taehyung looked up at Yoongi with eyes full of pain and desperation, like a wounded animal pleading for understanding. His lips trembled as he struggled to find words.
Taehyung: "Hyung, please... I'm trying my best." His voice cracked with emotion, each word a desperate plea for Yoongi to stop pushing him toward something that terrified him.
