Chapter 101 '✅'

Author's POV:

Tae was almost out of breath, frozen in his place.

IU: "What brings you here, Yun Hee?" IU tried not to be too rude, but she couldn't let her in while Tae was in this state. Plus, Jungkook wasn't home, so she didn't know what to do.

Yun Hee: "I just want to meet Sir Taehyung. He didn't come for a week, so I got worried. I will leave as soon as I confirm he is fine." She smiled softly, and their conversation got interrupted by a loud thud followed by Jimin's shouting.

Jimin: "OMMA!"

The two women ran into the living room to find Tae unconscious on the floor.

IU: "What happened?"

Jimin: "He wasn't replying, Omma. His face was so pale, and I didn't know why, but he just fell down in no time." Jimin was panicking , trying to explain the situation to his mother.

IU: "Calm down, Jimin. It's okay." IU was about to lift Tae, trying to help him up.

Jimin: "Omma, you can't do this. You are pregnant. I will help him." He raised his eyes to meet Yun Hee standing in the middle of the room, shocked by what was happening.

Jimin: "Onnie, can you help me? Omma is pregnant. She can't carry heavy things." Yun Hee didn't take much time to think.

Both of them helped the unconscious Tae to the couch, and IU brought water bottles to try waking him up. She started to touch his cheek with her wet palm. Jimin was holding his hand, and Yun Hee was very worried. He was just fine the last time she met him. Why was he so weak?

Tae started to open his eyes and met IU's gentle touch.

IU: "Tae, it's okay. You are fine now. How do you feel?" He took a few seconds to answer.

Taehyung: "I'm... I'm fine. I just thought I heard something. It looks like... YUN HEE." The terrified look in his eyes alerted IU as she forgot to make Yun Hee leave when he was still unconscious.

Yun Hee: "Sir..." She was totally confused about why he was looking at her with so much fear. He used to be the one who scared her.

Jimin: "Is it you who hurt my hyung?" Jimin recognized the look in Taehyung's eyes, and he couldn't understand what happened, but she was the one receiving this look. Was she the one who...?

Jimin didn't think further and started to pull her hair and hit her.

Jimin: "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO MY HYUNG? YOU ARE BAD. I HOPE YOU NEVER BE HAPPY. GET OUT OF OUR HOUSE, YOU MONSTER!"

Yun Hee: "Ahhhhh, leave me! I didn't do anything!"

Tae was brought out of his confusion by how aggressive Jimin was hitting the poor girl.

IU: "JIMIN, what are you doing? Leave her!"

Jimin: "No! SHE HURT MY HYUNG!" His small fist didn't stop hitting the poor girl who was still trying to free her hair out of Jimin's iron grip.

Taehyung: "STOP it, Jimin!" Tae tried to get up and hold Jimin in his arms, freeing Yun Hee's hair from his grasp. She was crying hard. She didn't even know why this kid hit her.

Jimin: "Hyung!!! Why did you stop me? She..." Tae interrupted him.

Taehyung: "She didn't. Now apologize to her." Jimin stood there, not agreeing with what his hyung was asking him.

Jimin: "But... she is..."

Taehyung: "I'm not taking any words. You are going to apologize and go to your room NOW."

Jimin stomped his feet, not accepting his hyung's order.

Jimin: "I'm going to my room, but I'm not going to apologize to this monster. Your look says she hurts you. You can't deny it." He ran off to his room, slamming the door hard.

Tae was barely holding himself to stand, so he couldn't run after him. He just decided to let it go for now.

Taehyung: "Who gave you permission to come here?" He couldn't look her in the eyes. Only God knew how he was holding himself right now to not fall.

Yun Hee: "I... you didn't show up all this week, and last time we were together, you just ran out of the office. I was worried, and you are not picking up your phone."

Taehyung: "You are my secretary, not my girlfriend, so the only reason that would make you search for me is if we didn't pay you. This is the last warning for you. Next time, I can assure you will be fired without further notice."

She stood there where she could meet his eyes and crossed her arms above her chest, looking into his eyes.

Yun Hee: "You are stupid, you know. Yes, I know I'm here not as your secretary and not as your girlfriend either, since you won't even allow me to take this step. You can't see how much effort I'm putting in to get your attention, to make you smile or feel at ease around me. And the moment I was almost there and we were about to have lunch together, you ran out.

Okay, I know I'm not that rich now and not that beautiful too, but I'm a human and have feelings. You can't keep pushing me away every time I'm trying.

I know I hated you at first, and you deserved this, but I just can't stop my heart from loving you. The way you act with your brothers, I know you are not the monster you try to convince me you are.

Why don't you just give me a chance to be close to you? Everyone in this world deserves a chance. As much as you try to look like the bad guy, I swear I can feel you are not the one you want us to believe you are. Why are you even doing this? Are you afraid I'm after your money? I can assure..." Taeyhung exploded with that ..

Taehyung: "I'M A FUCKING BROKEN HUMAN BEING. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO, LIVE WITH A BOYFRIEND WHO WOULD NEVER TOUCH YOU? ARE YOU GOING TO BE OKAY WITH THAT? WE'LL END UP IN A PATHETIC RELATIONSHIP WHERE NO ONE CAN GIVE THE OTHER WHAT HE WANTS.

YOU DON'T KNOW A THING ABOUT WHAT AM I FUCKING GOING THROUGH, SO GET OUT OF MY HOUSE NOW! YOU ARE FIRED DON'T SHOW ME YOUR FACE AGAIN"
