Author's POV

Jungkook's Office...

The air in the office felt thick with tension as Jungkook stood tall and commanding, his presence filling the room like a storm cloud. His eyes were sharp as he looked between the two women.

Jungkook: "This is Miss Marry. She is my secretary. You need to learn from her how to manage your boss's office. Is it clear?"

Yun Hee's head moved up and down like a frightened bird in a nodding motion, her throat too tight to speak. Her hands trembled slightly at her sides.

Jungkook: "You need to use your words, Miss Yun Hee. Your boss doesn't like to keep looking at you to know what you want to say." His voice cut through the air like a blade, each word sharp and demanding.

Yun Hee: "Sorry Sir. I will try to do my best. When can I meet my boss?" Her voice was small and shaky, fear creeping through her veins like ice water. She had heard the employees whispering about how tough he was, and the way Jungkook talked about him made her worries grow like weeds in her chest.

Jungkook: "You need to be prepared first. You will be here all day to learn the basics, and tomorrow you will meet him. Don't mess things up - he will not hesitate to fire you." He didn't know that his words were adding more weight to her already heavy shoulders, but the damage was done already.

Taehyung's Office...

There stood Taehyung, his tall frame curled behind Yoongi's smaller one like a scared child hiding behind his father. His hands gripped Yoongi's shoulders tightly, as if he was trying to disappear from the world. Despite being taller, he folded himself small, seeking shelter in the safety of his hyung's presence.

Yoongi: "You are fine, Tae. Look, I swear the girl would faint just from you glaring at her." His voice was soft as silk, trying to wrap comfort around Taehyung's fears. Tae was peeking over Yoongi's shoulder like a frightened animal, watching the glass room where Jungkook stood with Yun Hee.

Taehyung: "You don't think she is hiding her real power?" His voice was barely a whisper, filled with worry that made his words shake.

Yoongi's laughter bubbled up like a spring, warm and genuine at Tae's innocent comment.

Yoongi: "Tae!! I know it's not easy for you, but I swear she is too innocent to be planning anything behind our backs. We told her the rules. She will never think to go near you or touch you." His hands rose like butterflies, patting Taehyung's shoulders, his thumbs pressing a little pressure tring to assure him ..

Taehyung: "Thank you for being here for me, hyung." His smile bloomed slowly like the first flower of spring, soft and grateful.

Yoongi: "You don't need to thank me, Tae. You have the right to ask for a shoulder to lean on anytime. We all will be there for you. You have nothing to be ashamed of." His voice flowed like honey, each word a promise wrapped in love and protection.

Yun Hee's POV :

My life used to dance with simplicity and hope, like a butterfly in a sunny garden. I dreamed of a future bright as sunshine - college, success, making my family's hearts swell with pride. But everything crumbled like sand castles when my father got sick.

The medical bills grew like weeds, choking our family's happiness until we couldn't breathe. Then this man - a loan shark with eyes cold as winter stones - crawled into our lives like a shadow that wouldn't leave.

He demanded we pay back the money, and he didn't care about our struggles. His threats were constant, haunting our every moment like ghosts that followed us everywhere. I couldn't bear to see my family suffer, so I made this decision. Even though it wasn't my dream job, and I wasn't qualified to do it, I would pour my heart into it.

The loan amount might have been pocket change from my old shopping days, but now it was everything - a mountain crushing our spirits. We were a family that had lost everything, carrying the heavy weight of my father's illness and bills that grew taller than mountains. We were trapped, with no one else to turn to.

I spent two months knocking on doors like a beggar, only to have them slammed in my face over and over .. they abandoned us the moment we lost our wealth .

I knew my innocence and lack of experience made me invisible to employers. My father had wrapped me in cotton wool my whole life, leaving me with no real skills to offer the world.

But by some twist of fate, I'm here - accepted as secretary to a maybe crazy boss who made five guys attend the interview to pick the right one for him. Thank goodness there was a kind woman there. I swear I was about to collapse when I walked into that interview room. I still wonder why they chose me!

While waiting, I heard employees whisper about my mysterious boss like they were sharing ghost stories. They spoke of a man who never talked to his staff, always wearing a face like stone. His office was forbidden territory, and smiles never touched his lips. And Mr. Jungkook kept repeating like a broken record: "Your boss likes this, your boss doesn't like that."

Only I knew how clumsy I am, how my memory had holes like a broken net. I could only pray I'd survive long enough to get my first paycheck.

Suddenly, Miss Marry's voice cut through my worried thoughts like sunshine breaking through storm clouds.

Miss Marry: "Hey, don't look so worried. Your face has lost all color. I promise you, Mr. Jungkook is a kind-hearted man. He simply prefers to maintain a professional demeanor." Her voice was gentle as a summer breeze, trying to calm the storm in my heart.

Yun Hee: "But he's not my boss. What am I going to do? I've messed everything up. I can't afford to lose this job." My voice cracked like thin ice, and I forced a weak smile onto my face, desperately trying to hide the hurricane raging inside my chest.

Miss Marry: "I'll help you. Just try to stay focused, and everything will work out fine. I can't speak for Taehyung sir since I haven't interacted with him before, but I've dealt with the rest of the brothers, and they're all incredibly kind." Her words flowed like a gentle stream, trying to wash away my fears.

Her words felt like trying to fill an ocean with a teacup. What good was if the brothers were kind? Couldn't one of them just hire me directly?

Yun Hee: "Why is he the only one who behaves like this? Is he so ugly that he's afraid to be seen? Or doesn't he want his staff to make fun of how he looks?" Curiosity made my voice bolder, the question slipping out before I could stop it.

For the first time since we started this conversation, she laughed out loud , her professional mask slipping away like melting snow.

Miss Marry: "You're quite adorable. You should be careful with your words, though. It's not wise to speak badly of your boss, especially about his appearance. As for how 'ugly' he may be, you'll find out the truth tomorrow. But for now, let's begin your training." Her laughter still danced in her voice, warm and mysterious.
