Living Room ..
Jimin sat nervously on the couch, his injured ankle propped up on a pillow. J-hope paced back and forth in the living room, his anger radiating from every step. He hadn't known how to control himself until they reached home. He couldn't fathom where to begin or what to say. Never would he have imagined that Jimin of all people would skip school and ignore their calls. Jimin was always the one who followed rules meticulously—what had driven him to act this way?
J-hope finally stopped and glared at Jimin, his eyes burning with disappointment.
J-hope: "I can't believe you skipped school, Jimin! What were you thinking? And on top of that, you got hurt! Where was your mind?! Huh?"
Jimin lowered his head, the weight of guilt visibly pressing down on his shoulders.
Jimin: "I'm sorry, Hobi hyung. I know it's not an excuse... but we just wanted to have some fun. I know I messed up."
J-hope: "Have some fun?! Are you serious, Jimin?! Just tell me, when did you ask for anything and we disagreed with you?! You have no excuse to do this behind our backs. You're acting like a five-year-old kid. Did you forget how Yoongi hyung reacted when Tae applied for you to join school?! He was terrified just imagining you would be in a place where he couldn't protect you, where there would only be teachers and students your age. But what did you do?! You skipped that place to go outside where you could have really gotten hurt, Jimin!"
Just then, the door slammed open. Yoongi stormed in with IU behind him, who looked like she had tried and failed to keep him out of the room. Jimin's heart sank as he braced himself for the scolding and punishment he knew he deserved. What he hated most was that the woman was there to witness it all.
Yoongi: "We trusted you to be responsible, Jimin. But you don't deserve our trust."
Yoongi's words cut like arrows straight to Jimin's heart. Jimin felt his chest tighten at Yoongi's harsh words and piercing gaze.
IU stepped in front of Yoongi, blocking him from getting any closer to Jimin. He was clearly out of control.
IU: "Yoongi, don't say that. Can't you see?! He's not well. Just wait until he's feeling better."
IU's words only intensified Yoongi's anger until he could no longer contain it.
Yoongi: "Can't you see what he's put us through?! He skipped school! How can I not be mad?! I was terrified when I couldn't find him. What if something had happened to him?"
He shifted his gaze to Jimin, who was now cowering behind IU.
Yoongi: "Don't think you're escaping punishment, Jimin. Believe me, it won't be easy for you."
Yoongi was furious. The moment he had gone to pick Jimin up and discovered he wasn't there, he had panicked completely. That feeling kept replaying in his mind—a frozen moment of pure terror.
IU noticed Jimin's body beginning to tremble behind her. She sat beside him and wrapped her arms protectively around his small, shaking form.
IU: "Yoongi! You need to stop. All of you need to stop. You're ganging up on him. The boy is already shivering. Punishing him won't change what happened. Right now, he needs your support and understanding. Let's address his fears and worries together, not add to his pain."
Jimin found himself clinging to IU's back. He felt safe in her embrace as she defended him, even though he knew he was at fault and deserved punishment.
Yoongi clenched his fists, his voice rising in frustration. All the brothers had gathered in the room by now. Though they were trying hard not to direct their anger at Jimin, none of them attempted to take his side.
