Author's POV:

Jin rushed through the busy streets, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly as he hurried to Jimin's school. Yoongi was tied up with Tae, leaving Jin to handle the pickup duty.

Jimin stood outside the school gates, his small frame shifting from foot to foot as his eyes scanned the crowd of waiting parents. His face crumpled with confusion and worry.

Jimin: "hyung !! Where is Appa? Why didn't he come to pick me up?" He asked the moment Jin stopped in front of him .. .

Jin stepped out of the car and walked over, his expression softening. He reached out and playfully ruffled Jimin's hair.

Jin: "Don't you like it when I pick you up?" Jin's face twisted into an exaggerated frown.

Jimin couldn't help but giggle at his hyung's silly expression, his shoulders shaking with laughter.

Jimin: "Hyung, that's not what I meant. But he's always the one who picks me up, so I got worried." His small brows furrowed deeply, creating worried lines across his forehead.

Jin: "Don't worry, Jiminie. He's fine, just too busy with work. So, I offered to pick you up on his behalf." Jin's voice was gentle and reassuring as he placed a comforting hand on Jimin's shoulder. And they to got into the car ..

Jimin: "That's fine. I'm so hungry. What do you think Omma prepared for me today?" His stomach let out a loud growl, and he pressed his hands against his belly, his eyes lighting up with anticipation.

Jin: "Let's hope she made something today. I don't think she's in the mood to do anything." Jin's tone grew somber, and he shook his head slightly.. Remember IU's mood when she left the office this afternoon ..

Jimin's eyebrows shot up, and his face twisted with concern.

Jimin: "What do you mean? Did something happen? Is the baby okay?" His voice rose with panic, and he grabbed Jin's arm desperately.

Jin: "Hey, hey, everything is fine. We're already here. Go check on her." Jin gestured toward the house as he parked the car.

Jimin bolted from the car like a shot, his legs carrying him as fast as they could. He burst through the front door, his chest heaving.

Jimin: "Ommaaaa, where are you?" His voice echoed through the house, filled with anxiety.

IU: "I'm here, Jiminie." Her voice drifted from the kitchen, but it sounded hollow and tired.

The moment Jimin spotted his mother, he rushed forward and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, pressing his face against her back.

Jimin: "Mom, you prepared so much. I'm starving." His voice was muffled against her shirt, completely unaware of the emotional storm raging inside his mother.

IU's hands trembled as she continued cooking..

IU: "Who else do I have to take care of? No one bothers to think about me or ask what I need or what I truly want. So, here I am, taking care of my son, who is the only one on this earth who loves me and makes me feel like I'm worth his time." Her voice cracked with pain, and she slammed the plates down with such force that they clattered loudly against the counter.

Jimin's body went rigid with shock. He stepped back, his eyes wide with confusion and fear.

Jimin: "Omma! What's wrong? I don't understand what you're saying!" His voice was confused and frightened.

IU: "And who would understand me or even try?" Tears began streaming down her cheeks, but she kept stirring the food aggressively, her whole body shaking with suppressed sobs.
