Author's POV :

IU gently guided Jimin to his hospital bed, her arms wrapped around his shoulders like she was guarding him .. she indeed felt like she needed to hide him in her chest.

IU : "Jiminie , You need to eat first and then rest, okay?" She led him to lie down, and he followed her emotionlessly .. like he is a doll moving according to the why IU moving him ..

Jimin raised his void to meet IU's .. his voice quivered as he called out to her ..

Jimin : "Omma..." IU can clearly notice the change that happened in Jimin .. her heart keeps clenching each time she notices one more thing .. She tried to control herself and immediately sat beside him, pulling him into a comforting embrace, her hand softly caressing his back. She felt a pang of pain every time her eyes landed on a bruise on his body , fighting against the haunting thoughts of how he got it , how he endured those horrible nights without her ..

With a void tone , Jimin gaze fixed at the corner of the room , like he was trying to find answers for the questions that keep running into his mind, Jimin began to question her.

Jimin : "Omma , Why does Appa have marks on his wrists!! Like mine... I was tied up for two days, but he was out there, searching for me... right!! So why does he have these marks too?"

IU's heart sank, caught off guard by his question. She struggled to find the right words to ease his worries .. He can't find out the commotion that happened while he was abducted .. Yoongi is the one Jimin felt safest with the most .. He can't see him the broken soul he become when Jimin disappeared

IU took a deep breath, mustering her strength, and gently cupped Jimin's cheeks in her palms , meeting his gaze.

IU : "He was indeed desperately searching for you, Jiminaa. But sometimes, things happen... unexpected things. You need to focus on taking care of yourself now. What you need to know is that Your Appa was desperately trying to find you , he never gave up on you " She tried her best to protect him from the harsh reality, not wanting to burden him any further.

Jimin's eyes were still fixed on her .. still waiting for an answer .. Why does Yoongi have those scars !!

IU's voice trembled as she continued, her words filled with a mix of sorrow and pain.

IU : "Right now, what's important is that you eat. Let's focus on that, okay?" She tried to change the topic , she has nothing more to say .. she sit closer to Jimin placing the tray on her lap to feed him

IU : " You can act like a kid today .. let me feed you .. say ahhh " she tried to lighten the mode .. Align the spoon in front of Jimin's mouth .. He obliged and took it ... He didn't even smile

She tried again by initiating a conversation, to bridge the growing distance between them .. she is not ready to let it go wider ..

IU tried to break the silence, her voice filled with a hint of hope.

IU : "Did you like it?" she asked, her eyes searching for any sign of connection.

Jimin's response pierced through the air, his words aimed directly to her heart ..

Jimin : "Do I have a say on it? I'm more than thankful that I can eat now. After starving for two days, it's supposed to erase the pain in my stomach, right?" I couldn't hold the tears that betrayed her and ran over her cheeks .. Jimin was so young to go through this .. He was very precious to be treated like this ..

His words hung in the air, leaving IU with a mixture of shock and terror. She desperately wished she could erase his suffering, to shield him from the harsh realities of the world.
