Author's POV:
Jin: "Talk to me, little one. I'm here for you. Everything will be okay, I promise."
Jin came with his brothers to check on Jimin, but Jimin's condition was not something they could all handle together. So Jin made them leave the room and was trying to speak with Jimin. But Jimin didn't say a word, even when Jin knelt down in front of him and held both his hands in his palms.
So Jin just sat beside him and kept rubbing Jimin's back gently, whispering sweet words to calm the kid down.
It had been an hour when Jimin finally said something that broke Jin's heart.
Jimin: "Are you still keeping me after what I did to Yoongi hyung?! You have the right to let me go. I don't deserve to be with you anymore."
Jin knew how Jimin's mind was playing tricks on him. He was just overwhelmed by all the events that kept happening. But it took Jin a while to understand what Jimin just said. He pulled back and held Jimin's chin softly - not to hurt him, but firmly enough to make him look into his eyes.
Jin: "Do you think they will let me go too?! I'm a killer now... You know, I don't deserve to be loved by you or by any of them."
Jimin's eyes went wide at Jin's words. He shook his head over and over.
Jimin: "What are you saying, hyung?! You deserve all the love in this world. You saved me and Yoongi hyung. You are not bad. How can you say I would let you go?"
Jin smiled softly at him, wiping his tears away.
Jin: "You just did the same thing, Jiminie. Why do you think that I would ever let you go?! Or any of us?!"
Jimin looked down, biting his lower lip.
Jimin: "You are something else, hyung. I love you so much. Whatever you do, I will just love you. I feel safe with you. But me... I... I don't deserve to be loved. I only bring bad luck to your family."
Jimin broke down in heavy cries.
Jin held Jimin's hand.
Jin: "You know... when I met you the first time, the moment my eyes fell on you, I didn't even know your story. I decided I would hire you just to see you again, despite the nagging Namjoon was going to start when he found out I just hired an unqualified kid. I thought you just needed to work to pass your time. So let's not agree with the idea that you don't deserve to be loved, because you do. I can promise that."
Jin kissed Jimin's forehead. Jimin had now stopped crying and started to think about how to prove his point of view.
Jimin: "But... I'm a cursed kid. Every time I start to feel safe or think that nothing bad will happen to me, it turns around and crushes my whole life. Even the one who I thought would love me no matter what - she now hates me because I hurt the one she loves."
Jin nodded in understanding, pulling Jimin to sit in front of him so he would face him.
Jin: "Did she tell you that she hates you?!"
Jimin hesitated at first, but then said:
Jimin: "If you saw how she looked at me, she was so mad and... and... she doesn't need to say it. She hates me, and her eyes said it."
Jin chuckled at Jimin's cuteness as he got angry because Jin wasn't agreeing with him. Jimin had already forgotten his tears and was now trying to prove himself right.
Jin: "You need to talk with Taemin and ask him how his mother treats him if he breaks a plate. If looks could burn, your friend must be on fire by now."
Jimin finally smiled but held back his smile and shouted in fake anger:
Jimin: "HYUNG!! I'm serious here!"
Jin stopped laughing and looked at Jimin's face. He was still the pure, innocent kid who could be easily distracted by a small trick. Jin held Jimin's face in his palms.
Jin: "I could pay my whole life for this smile. I'm not underestimating your pain, Jimin. What happened is hard for you. But I told you before - we can fight as much as we want, but never let one of us go. Maybe IU got carried away when she saw Yoongi's condition, but she will never hate you. Like you now - you are angry with what happened, but I know for sure you will never hate any of us. Cry as much as you need, but not alone, not with your thoughts. My arms will always be open for you to cry your heart out."
A couple of tears slipped from Jimin's eyes.
Jimin: "You are so strong, Jin hyung. Thank you for being here for me. God sent you to me as a great gift."
Jin: "It looks like you are not a cursed kid. You know, I'm too handsome to be a gift for a cursed child. You're sure to be a blessed one."
Jimin laughed, and this time it reached his eyes. Puffy and tired, but he finally smiled.
Jin wrapped him in a tight hug.
Jimin: "Thank you, hyung."
Jin: "You're welcome, kid. I think Yoongi is available now for us to go there. Do you want to come with me?!"
Jimin's smile fell, and he looked down.
Jin: "What is it, Jiminie? Tell me."
Jimin pulled out of Jin's hold.
Jimin: "I'm not ready. IU Noona maybe is still mad at me."
Jin: "I think someone already let them go before they could think to do it, right?"
Jimin: "They may think I don't deserve to call them Omma and Appa again. I hurt him. You all may keep me, but they may not want to be my parents anymore."
Jimin's tears started to fall again.
