jungsu didn't know what was the name of the feeling he was experiencing right at that moment when he, jooyeon and hyeongjun were sitting at the table supposedly having breakfast. well, only jooyeon and hyeongjun were eating quietly while jungsu himself just sat there staring at the bowl in front of him as if it was the most interesting thing in the whole entire universe.
he didn't want to seem rude and just sit there watching the two younger boys eat, but the problem was that he just couldn't bring himself to grab a spoon that was placed gently beside his assigned bowl. he was kind of scared even, what could have happened if he started eating ⸺ attempt to start eating to be more specific.
rather than sitting here in a very awkward silence, jungsu thought it would not be a bad idea to go in any other room and find something to entertain himself while he waited for the two to finish their breakfast.
however, as if jooyeon literally read the elder's mind, ❝why aren't you eating?❞ he pointed out, making jungsu fidget with his fingers rather awkwardly.
the sentence got hyeongjun's attention too, as the boy placed the spoon down, looking up at jungsu with slightly furrowed eyebrows. he could sense, there was something strange going on. yet, he could not exactly point a finger on a certain thing. nor he wanted to say anything because he knew, he would very much upset jooyeon, as he seemingly felt a little too happy with meeting jungsu and making him and hyeongjun friends.
what hyeongjun himself considered was another thing, he did not think jungsu would ever become his friend. he didn't know why but with just one glace and one mention of his name, hyeongjun already felt skeptical about the elder.
okay, scratch that. he knew exactly what was it and why was he feeling like that towards jungsu. but he would never dare to admit it even to just himself.
❝you haven't eaten the whole time you are here, please.❞ jooyeon asked, with so much worry tinted in his voice. obviously he would be, eating was important and that was exactly what jungsu was not doing right now. thinking about it, ❝maybe you are allergic? to milk? or this cereal?❞ he threw question after question, tilting his head slightly to the side.
what? jungsu furrowed his eyebrows in pure confusion still not daring to look up at jooyeon who now most definitely was looking at him. what word did the younger even use. allergic? what on the earth did that mean.
hoping that it was nothing that would later get him in trouble, ❝no..❞ jungsu whispered more to himself, shaking his head slightly. jooyeon asked once again, to eat and the boy was left with no other choice but to do so. no other choice but to try. bringing his hand up ever so slowly, jungsu looped his fingers around the spoon, glancing over at the two other boys present beside him and with slightly shaking hand, lifted it up towards the bowl that was right in front of him.
no, that was definitely not how it had to be done. jungsu took a quick glance at hyeongjun who held the spoon ever so gently and was looking at him with his eyebrows furrowed. maybe it was the pressure he suddenly felt because of hyeongjun, or maybe it was the fact that he honestly had no clue how to hold a spoon, jungsu managed to drop it in his bowl, with a sound and milk splashing over both his and jooyeon's clothes.
