❝i'm going to take you out today.❞
it felt like a déjà vu. it was one. jungsu felt like he lived in that exact moment not even long ago. and he really did. but with one small difference. the first time it was him telling jooyeon that and now it was vise versa.
to say jungsu was taken aback by the sentence he had heard leaving jooyeon's lips would be a total understatement. he didn't know what to think, for a moment his mind had gone fully blank and all he could think of was those very words repeating in his head over and over again.
❝you will what?❞ jungsu felt stupid, it was as if he didn't hear what jooyeon told him. in fact he did, too clearly but he just couldn't help but ask anyway, to confim that what the younger told him was real and he didn't just imagine it in his head.
lips curving up in an adorable smile, ❝i said, i'm going to take you out today.❞ jooyeon zipped his backpack, as the two of them were getting ready to leave house, jooyeon for university and jungsu for work. ❝you did last time, now it's my turn.❞
jooyeon took so much time to think about it. in fact he had been planning this for a few days now. it was something so simple, yet he wanted for it to be perfect. he wished he could take jungsu out on a weekend as they would have even more time to spend together but today was just too perfect to miss and he just couldn't wait for his lectures to be over so he could take the elder out. with a big hope of the elder liking what he has planned.
❝but where are we going?❞ jungsu asked as the walked out of the building, making their way down the street, side by side. he still couldn't seem to believe what jooyeon had told him, he wanted to know more. as much as possible.
stopping abruptly as they were already by the flower shop where jungsu worked, ❝it's a surprise and surprises shouldn't be spoiled.❞ jooyeon's lips tugged up, in his signature smile, as he quoted jungsu's own words.
realizing what jooyeon had done, jungsu pressed his lips into a thin line, shaking his head in a pure disappoinment ⸺ playfully of course. ❝whatever.❞ he then chuckled, rolling his eyes as he took the key out from his pocket to open the shop, trying to seem like he didn't care about it much. ❝take care, joo.❞ he waved his hand already stepping in the door.
jooyeon nodded his head, once again fighting the urge to pull jungsu in a tight embrace. it would be too out of pocket, too weird, too uncomfortable for the elder. jooyeon kept repeating those in his head as he wished jungsu a good day ahead, telling him he would see him in the flower shop after his lectures.
jungsu closed the door behind him walking to the back of the shop, getting the necessary tools to start his work with fixing the flowers and watering them, as always trying to do everything as quickly as possible to then spend most time outside of the shop.
yet, for whatever reason it felt like he couldn't concentrate on anything he was doing. he tried his best to not think about anything else and focus on work only, but it seemed like his mind had another plans for the day and him still not being too skilled in anything any human could do, wasn't making it easy at all.
all jungsu did was blame jooyeon for that. for making him feel so weird and fuzzy with a simple thing such as saying he would take him out. when jungsu told him that a few weeks or so ago, he didn't feel anything like that but now he felt all strange. it was literally the same thing why did it matter, who would say that, jungsh was so confused he just couldn't understand it.
his head started hurting and at this point it was hard to tell what was the reason behind it. the fact of him overthinking this too much and trying to figure out what was going on with him and all these warm bubbles popping inside of him when jooyeon told him he would take him out or the overwhelming smell of flowers that felt too heavy at that moment.
