hyeongjun had never felt this nervous to meet jooyeon ever before. maybe, he was just not so ready to face jungsu after what had happened. after all, when he yelled out those words said towards the elder, jungsu was there, he heard it all and even though they had to stay together for some time after, waiting for jooyeon, it was awkward between the two of them. understandably so.

awkward and very heavy. hyeongjun was sure, it would be the exact same way the moment he would face the elder one. obviously they hadn't talked after that day and maybe, he did owe jungsu a sincere apology. which, he couldn't help but form a little fakely in his head, since one way or another, he still disliked him. and he hated making things up and saying stuff that he didn't really mean.

he surely was going to apologize, he knew what he had said was not right from his side and from today start working on liking jungsu, for jooyeon.

bringing his hand up, hyeongjun finally managed to ring a doorbell after good five minutes of standing by the door of jooyeon's flat. he inhaled deeply, rocking slightly back and forth on his heels, while waited for someone to open the door and let him in.

jooyeon's adorable smiley face was revealed just a moment after hyeongjun rang the doorbell and the elder couldn't hold himself back from smiling as well. he greeted the boy, receiving a brief, but warm hug from him and followed jooyeon in.

❝hyeongjun's here!❞ jooyeon called out, probably informing jungsu that the said boy had come and then turning to him, ❝i'll be right there.❞ and pushed hyeongjun to the living room while he himself went to the kitchen, with a pure hope of the two elder boys talking again without him and somehow starting to build a normal conversation. that were first steps of becming friends anyway.

hyeongjun let out a rather nervouc chuckle, as he was pushed in the living room and the moment he looked around he was met with jungsu sitting on the couch with his legs bent and the elder took a brief moment to look at him, the emotions on his face were too uncertain, hyeongjun couldn't even tell what he was feeling at that very moment. it was hard to tell whether jungsu hated his presence, didn't really mind it or was glad to have him there.

it definitely couldn't be the last one, that for sure but hyeongjun somehow hoped jungsu at least didn't mind him there, even though he hated to admit to himself that if he was in the elder's position at that moment, he definiteoy would be far from being delighted to see him.

that was the exact reason why he had to collect his words and somehow apologize to him. to make everything less awkward between the two of them and everything easier for jooyeon too. he had to step a little aside from his own comfort zone and talk to jungsu. he really had to say sorry.

❝jungsu,❞ even calling out his name felt weird to hyeongjun. it was as if the word leaving his lips cut sharp in the air and hang somewhere in between the two of them, making everything heavier than it was before, if possible. with furrowed eyebrows jungsu looked at him, clearly not expecting to hear his name. ❝i wanted to say sorry, for what had happened back then.❞ hyeongjun nervously played with his fingers now avoiding looking at jungsu at all costs. ❝i really didn't mean it that harshly, i'm sorry.❞

the elder was not expecting that. but he was really pleased to hear those words from the younger. he felt how sincere hyeongjun was and even though he could tell why he was saying that, he still felt somwhow warm from the inside, to know that even just for jooyeon, hyeongjun was willing to give this a try.

it made everything much easier now. maybe he wouldn't have to sit down and explain everything to hyeongjun while also sounding absolutely crazy to him and the younger would just catch on his acts and simply follow him, just go with jungsu's flow and help him settle everything with jooyeon, make him happy. because well, hyeongjun physically couldn't do what jungsu could, but he could play the biggest role in this as he was an important person in jooyeon's life.
