okay, maybe this was not a good idea, at all.
jungsu felt so out of place the moment he entered the flower shop the next day, to start his work there. the atmosphere was welcoming, bright colors with lots of flowers all around and sweet middle aged woman smiling at him the moment he pushed the glass door open and the bells above it jingled softly.
even with that, jungsu felt strange. his palms getting sweaty and not being able to talk properly, was not what he had been planning for the whole evening the previous night. being nervous was not something he was used to feeling. since, up there it always was so easy for him and he never had to worry about these type of things.
here however, it was different. so different that jungus rethought all his decisions and considered quitting right then and there.
the lady took some time to get to know him better, asking him some basic questions such as his name, age and what he had been doing for living, where he was living and such. it also overwhelmed jungsu, the answers in his head were scripted since last night, yet he found it hard to even utter a single word and do something as simple as smiling or nodding his head.
he knew he was not leaving a good impression already and it scared him even more. the flower shop seemed like the best job he could have ever found. since, it was not only near to where he was living with jooyeon for the time being, but it also seemed like the easiest thing one could do with literally no experience at all.
jungsu was sure he didn't need a big experience to talk to customers with a smile tugging up his lips and wrapping certain flowers for them in a bouquet. the thing was, he had to just memorize all the flower names there (which were quite some in fact), not forget to water them and just simply look after them all until his shift was finished. then he would be able to close the shop and go home.
the woman explained every small detail to him, showing how all the things were done and jungsu found her really sweet for this because from what he had seen from up there, he was able to tell that a lot of people especially in work occasions were not this friendly and kind at all. he was glad this lady turned out to be this way. he really thanked all the dearest bunnies above that at least this was okay and he got an assurance that he would not be yelled at if he messed something up. especially on his first day of work.
speaking of leaving good impressions, the woman seemed delighted by him. better say, she admitted finding him really beautiful, unrealistic even and complimented his facial features a lot. leaving jungsu being a rather shy mess as he was certainly not used to hearing that, at all.
then his work day started and the more time jungsu spent inside the shop the more he felt like being suffocated in there. he was certain, it was because of his first day, he was too nervous, worried and didn't want to mess everything up. not to disappoint the owner of the shop and not to embarrass himself in front of any customers that might have come that day in a shop, in order to buy flowers for someone.
jungsu's eyes started itching and he felt like everything in the shop smelt a little too much like flowers, different scents mixing up and it made him feel dizzy. he knew this could not be leading anywhere good, and the moment he started sneezing he knew something had to be up with this place.
