jungsu really didn't know waking up early in the morning would be that hard. at first, sleep was something he literally did not need but now it was as if waking up from a slumber was the hardest thing one could ever do. 

it seemed easy from up there when he looked at jooyeon and millions of other people getting up in the morning and starting their day and never understood why jooyeon struggled this much to wake up in the morning for university. 

oh now he knew. he managed to collect himself up from bed and walk out of there to wake jooyeon up too. the younger asked him to do so, since his university was starting and he didn't want to be late.

morning this early was purely a big mess. that was the only way jungsu could describe it. it only calmed down when the two sat down to eat. yet even that didn't last for long as jooyeon brought up the topic of university, asking jungsu what he was doing with his studies and that took the elder aback.

he had told jooyeon he was going to school and then started university back where he was from, but he didn't expect for jooyeon to bring these questions up again.

❝if you are looking for a new university,❞ jooyeon started hesitantly because he really didn't remember if jungsu told him he finished all studies or not. ❝you can enroll in the one where i am going.❞ just the thought of going to university with jungsu made jooyeon feel warm.

meanwhile, the thought of that purely terrified jungsu. him? going to university? his name and that beside each other in one sentence sounded so wrong, too wrong. all he was going to do there would be just embarrassing himself left and right. adapting was something too hard for him and he just would not want to imagine going to university. it was too much for him.

as much as he would love to spend even more time with jooyeon, ❝n-no.. that's⸺ i'm finished with studies.❞ jungsu stuttered out, cracking up a rather awkward smile as he ran fingers through his soft locks. ❝i thought maybe i would look for a part time job while.. while i'm staying here.❞

that was most definitely worse than going to university at some point. but jungsu would rather have clumsy attempts where barely anyone could see him than embarrass himself in front of hundreds of students.

plus, he couldn't just live in jooyeon's house and do nothing. sure jooyeon never once questioned it and jungsu was more than glad but even he could tell that it was kind of far from being something normal ⸺ which hyeongjun pointed out not once.

so maybe if he started working it would be slightly better, he could help out jooyeon with paying some bills and even buy him some things. that sounded nice, just right to him.

even though just the thought of working scared him, because his 'work' in the first place was to protect jooyeon, he was obviously not used to doing anything else. but he had to try. and he was going to start looking for a job today, after jooyeon would go to university.
