❝i fell asleep!❞ jungsu's soft gasp woke jooyeon up. or, maybe it was the endless fidget of the elder, trying to stand up that shook the slumber off of him. one way or another, the boy was now not so wide awake, looking at jungsu who stood up quickly visibly nervous.
rubbing his eyes ❝so what?❞ jooyeon brought his hand up to cover his yawn. now it was starting to worry the younger, what was such a big deal about it.
❝i'm⸺ i'm not supposed to⸺ i was just surprised we fell asleep like this.❞ jungsu realized his much big of a mistake mid sentence and cut himself off, shaking his head slightly and clicking his tongue at how he almost exposed himself to the point that he would have to answer a lot of questions but thankfully the younger boy was still sleepy enough not to catch that.
it was back there, when he was looking after jooyeon protecting him from there that he couldn't sleep ⸺ not like he had to sleep anyway. but now this was something very new for him. he still had that mindset of having to protect jooyeon, watch each and every step of his and not tear an eye away from him. like he did from up there.
but here it of course was different. he didn't technically have to literally look after him every second, jooyeon was a grown up adult after all and jungsu didn't have to look at him for each and every passing second. it was much different here.
especially with the fact that he now really needed sleeping, alongside with many other things each and ever human being required on daily basis.
it was just the fact that he was so not used to it all, obviously. in his mind, he still was his previous self with not needing anything any human needed.
❝but you slept yesterday too?❞ jooyeon reminded him just in case and stood up with a shrug, walking in the bathroom.
right. he slept normally the day before too, when jooyeon let him stay over. it was something very new for him. the shifting was not immediate. it took some time to adapt, as it happened step by step which jungsu now thought was kind of stupid, but at the same time it did make sense as he for sure wouldn't be able to handle it all at once, he was barely surviving here like this. and who knew, maybe it would be already time for him to leave before he would adapt fully.
it would mean that he would be able to help jooyeon out soon and that was good, but on the other hand jungsu already felt like being too attached to the younger, even in this very short amount of time they have known each other.
it was no surprise obviously, the two had a special bond connecting them but jungsu didn't know it would be like this once he would meet jooyeon in person. already he didn't like the idea of having to leave one way or another.
❝i thought,❞ jooyeon's voice snapped jungsu back to reality from his huge pile of thoughts, the boy didn't even notice when the younger walked back inside the living room. ❝we could go out, i would show you around, since you mentioned you are new here, we could eat out.❞
jungsu stared at jooyeon, listening to him. did he mention that? he probably did, anything at this point to make jooyeon not question his too sudden appearance.
nodding his head in a slight hesitation, ❝okay?❞ jungsu agreed, hating the fact that it sounded more like a question rather than a statement of agreement. he had seen all these places, he knew everything here, at least all jooyeon's favorite places, where the boy would go most often but only from afar, from up there. it would actually be nice to see all these places. ❝when are we going?❞
