walking back home was a pure blur. jungsu didn't even know how they managed to get home. how he managed to take jooyeon home.

he had seen jooyeon this miserable only once in his whole life and it was when his mother had passed away. never before or after that he had seen the younger cry like this. he always knew jooyeon loved his special star a lot but he could never guess that he would feel this devastated to see the star not being up there in the sky. he didn't know it would mean this much to him and affect him like this.

yes, jungsu was well aware of the fact that there was a strong bond connecting each human and their special star but he could never really imagine that it meant this much to jooyeon, to the point that he was being this devastated now.

he felt stupid for calming himself down and even for a second thinking jooyeon would have forgotten about the existence of his special star. now for the whole ride back home jungsu tried to collect his word and think how to comfort jooyeon properly. at some point he felt like he had lost his words. as if, during this whole time of them walking back home, he had lost the ability to speak. any sound refused to leave his lips, like some spell was casted on him, forbidding him to let out even a single word.

jungsu didn't know when exactly it had happened, but before he would realize it, he was already sitting down in his bed, with jooyeon crying in his arms. all the elder managed, was to stroke his hair gently and hold him so close, so tight in his arms.

unable to utter a single word of comfort, jungsu had no clue how long had they been sitting there like that. maybe it was hours, or maybe just a few short minutes he really didn't know. he seemed to also have lost sense of time.

the only thing he knew for sure that he felt like at that moment jooyeon shared his strong emotions with him. especially now that they were quite literally sitting so close to each other, physically feeling each other's presence, the bond of sharing these strong emotions grew. jungsu felt crushed. as if something tore his heart out ⸺ even though he didn't really have one. something inside him sank so heavily and he really felt like being suffocated at that moment. the physical pain inside of him was literal. that was how much jooyeon's strong emotions affected him.

j-jooyeon,❞ jungsu choked out the younger boy's name. never in his entire being he would have ever thought of how hard it was to actually comfort with words. he really felt like he wouldn't be able to utter even his name. ❝you know, you can talk to me, it will help you feel better. i'm here.❞ that was all he managed to say.

the younger looked up at jungsu, with tears streaming down his cheeks uncontrollably. just that sight alone was enough to break jungsu's heart and shatter it into billions of pieces, he was not used to seeing jooyeon this devastated, it hurt him so much.

on the other hand, jooyeon thought about what jungsu had told him. just the elder's presence was giving him some different sort of comfort, wrapping him in a warm bubble, like trying to keep him safe from everything and anything that could affect him in any way. but telling jungsu everything he had bottled up for a long time now, sounded like a nice idea. in a sense of, he knew the elder would understand him. after all he told him he also believed in that all. he had to understand him at least at some point.

even if jungsu would have nothing to say, he knew he would feel better just letting everything out that had been going on in his head and been bothering him for quite some time now.

he took a few moments to think and collect his words. then he started, talked and talked. he had never thought that actually letting out everything that was piling up in his mind would feel this good. telling jungsu everything felt so nice. especially now that he could feel how much the elder wanted to listen to him and help him out.
