it was late. so late, such an ungodly hour, yet there jungsu was. running down the street like his dear life depended on it.

it felt unreal, the whole thing and everything happening around was so blurry for him, as if his mind was clouded, forbidding him from thinking properly.

he didn't know how or when he reached jooyeon's house, but the next thing he knew so well and clearly was him literally throwing himself towards the younger boy, pulling him in the tightest embrace known to mankind.

jooyeon stumbled back, but caught both, jungsu and himself before falling on the floor. he brought his hands up, wrapping them around the elder, with tears welling up in his eyes.

no one would ever be able to understand what jooyeon felt at that exact moment. it was too much, overwhelming him in a way even. but, how on earth could he utter even a single word of complaint. there was no way in million years he would do that. because he was simply so happy.

the feeling of having jungsu pressed against his body, so close again, felt unreal. it was so warm and comforting, as if just that one single hug manage to silence every bad thought jooyeon had been having ever since and managed to make him feel at peace.

jungsu didn't possess his powers anymore. did he? that could not have been the case, jooyeon doubted that. it has to purely be the fact that he missed the elder so much, even after he came back here. now it felt real. like he finally had the elder back.

i'm so sorry, joo.❞ jungsu mumbled having his face still buried in the crook of the said boy's neck. he felt so bad, he probably could never know what jooyeon had to go through. first, during the time he wasn't there and then when he came but didn't remember anything connected to him ⸺ to them. and everything the two shared.

it didn't matter to jooyeon anymore, really. he seemed to have forgotten everything the moment jungsu called and found how real it was when felt his body colliding with jungsu's. ❝don't apologize,❞ the words left jooyeon's lips in a soft whisper, as he moved slightly away, finally the two's eyes meeting. ❝it's fine, it really is.❞ and if only jungsu knew how genuine the younger's words were.

jooyeon brought his hand up to wipe tears silently rolling down jungsu's cheek. he let his hand stay there for a moment, as he admired the elder. even crying, with his eyes red and tears welling up there, jungsu was breathtaking. so beautiful that jooyeon felt his heart skipping a beat or two. he had always known that jungsu was pretty. but, even when he came back as a human here, he still held that unrealistic beauty and jooyeon found it hard to believe.

joo, breath.❞ jungsu snapped him back to reality from his pile of thoughts, letting out an adorable giggle which made jooyeon once again, feel so warm inside, so fuzzy. and that nickname added to it like a cherry on top for him. just that simple shortened name leaving jungsu's lips felt so right. jooyeon really felt like everything finally fell in its right place, it felt like home again.

looking away at the meaning of the elder's words, jooyeon let out a rather awkward laugh, feeling a faint blush spreading across his cheeks. ❝it's so good to have you back, su.❞ was all he managed to utter, feeling tears once again welling up in his eyes.

he couldn't believe it was true, he was happy but it felt hard to grasp, hard to realize. was he even supposed to ask, how did jungsu remember him? it couldn't just click in his mind, jooyeon could tell, it was someone's doing and he thanked everyone and anyone, each star, cloud and raindrop for this ⸺ whoever did this and managed to make jungsu remember him.

i'm so happy to be back.❞ literally, with his memory fully regained. jungsu wrapped his arms around jooyeon again, pulling him closer in another warm, comforting hug after pressing his lips against the younger's forehead.
