𝘏𝘦'𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦.----After 1 month
Jungkook's life has been back on track for a while, thanks to Jimin. the raven has been pretty occupied with his patients. As long as he's in the hospital, he hardly has time to breathe but as soon as he walks back home, Bam's lack of activeness bothers him. He's made sure to shower an ample amount of attention on his beloved pet but nothing seems equivalent to the 2 days the pup spent with Taehyung. It was a cruel reminder that he was once here and shared this space with them.
When Jimin received Yoongi's text notifying him about Taehyung's successful rescue after the kidnap, Jungkook became impatient to have just a glance at the man even from afar. It would probably calm down his ill-at-ease heart. But Jimin was notified that the said man refused to meet anyone at that moment. He was too much in shock and needed time to calm down. The raven waited for a few days for things to calm down, even weeks thinking probably he would make an effort to meet him as he knew where Jungkook lived unlike the raven himself or at least tried to call him through Jimin's number knowing that they were neighbours, but none happened. It was disappointing. Was it that hard?
Jungkook even tried to sneak into Jimin's phone to have his best friend's number but that didn't work. He forced Jimin to tell him any insight about Taehyung's life but all he got was, 'Stay away from Jungkook-ah. It's too dangerous for you'. Jungkook thought probably with the disturbing incident he needed some space or something but time kept flying and Kim Taehyung never bothered to contact him. He made peace with the thought that he was just some experiment he did to know about his sexuality better. An insignificant experiment. Probably Taehyung was just curious and Jungkook was the most easy and harmless way to silence his curiosity.
But then the night he came by, he was in a fucked up situation. He somewhere knew that Taehyung wasn't as bad as he was desperately trying to paint him. But then if he didn't do that, he would not be able to carry on with his life. His emotions for him were unbearably strong.
It took time but Jungkook taught himself to make peace with the fact that the two days they spent, the emotions they shared were just a beautiful coincidence and would never repeat under any circumstances. But what about the poor little Doberman? The pup was still waiting for his snuggly, over-excited friend and that never let Jungkook completely forget that Kim Taehyung was real.
His heart yearned for an explanation for what the hell happened that Taehyung would suddenly decide to evaporate into nothing. The raven didn't know who to ask, or where to go so he just decided to get on with his lonely life and let Bam decide when he's gonna get over his disappointment in his friend.
-----------"Oh hi, Yewon", Mooyoung greeted Jung Yewon in his mansion.
"Hello, Mr. Kim", the girl bowed politely. She was wearing a baby pink pegged dress, with her midnight hair tied in a neat chignon bun. Her ears dazzled with Tiffany diamond studs. Her personality screamed elegance and money.
"Oh please, call me Father. You're like my daughter now", Mooyoung wanted to leave a good impression on his soon-to-be money-making daughter-in-law, who just walked into his house.
But less he knew that Yewon has been surrounded by assholes like him forever and she can sense his stinking pretence from a distance. She was here to meet Taehyung and it was just a formality to tolerate his pathetic father. "May I meet Taehyung?"
"It's your house too dear. You don't need to ask anyone to meet your own husband"
Yewon raises an eyebrow at the old man's daring words and clears her throat before she corrects him by saying, "Would-be husband, Mr Kim. there's still time for the wedding. Excuse me" and she leaves without bothering to hear a response.
