"Taehyung, I'd like you to be introduced to Mr. Jung Gicheol. He holds significant importance as a client in the weaponry sector."Despite being fatigued from lack of sleep, Taehyung dutifully attempted to mentally register the details his father was sharing.
"Make sure you present yourself well; don't appear exhausted. Consider taking some sleeping pills to refresh yourself for tomorrow's meeting. We want you to be at your best, not like a tired-looking figure," his father advised.
Taehyung nodded in a somewhat distracted manner.
"Fortunately, Mr. Jung happens to have a sole daughter. I need you to win her affection", which caused Taehyung to visibly tense up, "and ultimately marry her. This strategic move will enable us to gain control over the weaponry industry."
Turning around to confront his son directly, the old man asserted, "Taehyung, there is no room for failure this time. This marriage is crucial and must be successfully orchestrated. Do you understand?"
Reluctantly, Taehyung nodded in agreement.
"Excellent. Now, go and make it happen."
With that, the meeting came to an end.

Kim Taehyung, raised as the adopted child of a mafia boss, grew up believing in his fortunate fate within this family. This conviction became ingrained in his subconscious, guiding his every action for the sake of his father's contentment. He never pondered the alternative possibilities, haunted by the memory of a past loss that occurred when he dared to consider a different path. The repercussions of contemplating his own happiness proved costly, leading to the tragic demise of someone dear. Ever since, he grappled with insomnia, relying on sleeping pills to navigate through restless nights, the condition triggered by that profound loss.
Despite being a single father, Kim Mooyoung lavished care upon Taehyung, ensuring he lacked for nothing in terms of luxury. He facilitated the best education, even permitting his son to pursue a music major in college, a deviation from the anticipated tasks of his future role. The only condition attached to these privileges was that Taehyung must marry the girl chosen by his father, a stipulation to which he consistently acquiesced, nodding in agreement to both reasonable and arbitrary requests.
Upon entering his bedroom, Taehyung swiftly secured the door and proceeded to shed his leather jacket, jeans, and t-shirt. Further undressing, he found himself standing nude before the mirror-a ritual not unfamiliar to him. Night after night, he would expose himself to his own reflection, but instead of admiration, an overwhelming sense of disgust consumed him.
The loathing ran deep; he detested the figure staring back at him with absolute hatred. He believed no one desired him, no one held any affection for him-except for 𝘩𝘪𝘮. However, he felt he had failed that someone, and on that fateful night, both he and the person he loved met their demise. Taehyung's happiness departed with his deceased soul, leaving behind a hollow shell. The entity before the mirror lacked dreams, aspirations, or the will to endure life. He harboured intense disdain for this version of himself.
A defeated sigh escaped him, signalling the end of the self-deprecating thoughts that plagued his mind whenever he found himself in this room-the very space where 𝘩𝘦 took his last breath.
Since then, his legs have merely shouldered the burden of this unfortunately animated body.
The words, "𝘐𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥'𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘥. ", had been haunting him for an unknown duration, echoing like a relentless siren in his mind, tormenting his very existence. You might wonder why he's still alive. It's because of the last words uttered by the one he holds responsible.
