Jungkook sat nervously outside the hospital ward, his eyes glued to the flurry of activity inside. Doctors and nurses were in a frenzy, doing everything they could to save the man he loved, Kim Taehyung. The fear gripping Jungkook was palpable. He felt like he was trapped in an unending nightmare, where nothing made sense and the world was closing in around him.

After what felt like an eternity, the door swung open, and Dr. Scott, who was not only Jungkook's friend but also the attending physician, approached him. Jungkook's heart leaped with a mix of hope and dread as he searched the doctor's face for any sign of good news. Instead, Dr. Scott wore a somber expression that made Jungkook's stomach drop.

"Jungkook, can you come to my office, please?" Dr. Scott asked, his tone gentle but serious.

Panic surged through Jungkook. He couldn't bear the suspense any longer. "Is he alright? Is... Is he...?" he stammered, unable to voice his deepest fear.

Dr. Scott placed a reassuring hand on Jungkook's shoulder and gave a small nod. "He's alive, but there are some things we need to discuss. Come on."

With a heart heavy with trepidation, Jungkook followed Dr. Scott to his office. Once inside, he couldn't hold back his anxiety. "Dr. Scott, what is it? I can't take this uncertainty any longer."

"Okay, take a deep breath," Dr. Scott began. "Taehyung is stable, but the bullet did more than just graze his earlobe and damage some muscle. It punctured a part of the skin on his brain. Both injuries led to significant blood loss, and we were very close to organ failure. Thankfully, we managed to prevent that."

Jungkook's mind raced as he tried to process the information. "But what was all the commotion about then?" he asked, bewildered.

Dr. Scott sighed deeply before continuing. "Despite our best efforts, we couldn't save him from slipping into a coma."

The word hit Jungkook like a ton of bricks. "What?" he whispered, barely able to believe what he was hearing.

Dr. Scott nodded gravely. "Yes, he's in a coma. But, Jungkook, he's alive, and we'll do everything we can to help him recover."

"Yes. Though we were able to save him but we could not avoid him going in coma"

Jungkook's eyes widened, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. "What?" he managed to murmur, his voice barely above a whisper, the disbelief clear on his face.

Dr. Scott nodded gravely, though a hint of exasperation crept into his expression. "Yes, unfortunately. Taehyung is in a hypoxic coma."

Jungkook felt a wave of shock wash over him, leaving him rooted to the spot, numb and unable to fully process the information. His mind raced with thoughts, each one more panicked than the last.

Dr. Scott, sensing Jungkook's distress, continued with a sigh, "We don't know how long this coma will last. It could be a few days, or it could be years. We're going to need to keep observing him to provide a more precise prognosis. For now, we can only wait and see."

Jungkook blinked rapidly, trying to wrap his head around the situation. "Years?" he echoed, his voice rising slightly in pitch, almost squeaking.

"Yes," Dr. Scott replied with a nod. "Years. Or days. Or weeks. Medical science can be wonderfully vague like that."

Jungkook stared at him, a mix of incredulity and frustration bubbling up inside. "You mean you have no idea?"

"Precisely," Dr. Scott confirmed, patting Jungkook on the shoulder awkwardly. "Welcome to the unpredictable world of medicine. One minute you're awake and eating Jell-O, the next, you're in a coma. Life's funny that way."
