Jongwon hesitated at the threshold of Mooyoung's cabin, his presence announced by the soft shuffle of his footsteps. Inside, Mooyoung lounged in his chair, wisps of smoke curling lazily from the cigar between his fingers.
Mooyoung glanced up, a wry smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Ah, Jongwon, splendid job with Gicheol's demise. Though I must admit, your recent blunders had me questioning your competence and, dare I say, your loyalty."
Jongwon's expression remained stoic, but a flicker of unease danced in his eyes as he lowered his gaze respectfully. "I beg your pardon, sir. I deeply regret any oversights on my part. Rest assured, I am diligently working to rectify them."
With a deliberate puff, Mooyoung released a billow of smoke into the air, his gaze fixed on Jongwon. "That's precisely why you hold such significance in my operations. I have unwavering faith in your dedication to earning my trust."
Jongwon lowered his head respectfully, his eyes conveying his determination. "Indeed, sir. I am fully devoted to demonstrating my allegiance in the most unequivocal manner possible."
Mooyoung leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "So, what's our next move, Jongwon?"
"Our next step involves orchestrating the wedding between Mr. Kim and Ms. Jung," Jongwon replied, his voice steady with confidence.
A sinister grin crept back onto Mooyoung's face. "Ah, that's precisely what I've been waiting to hear. Excellent!"
"As per my sources," Jongwon continued, "As per my sources, it seems like the vast majority of the board members within the Jung Empire are leaning towards the idea of handing over leadership to Junior Mr. Kim after his marriage. With Mr. Jung out of the picture now, it's like a big roadblock has been removed, and both the stakeholders and board members are eager for this wedding to take place as swiftly as possible. They're even contemplating holding the wedding just a week after Mr. Jung's funeral."
Mooyoung's eyes sparkled with a sinister gleam, "You little rascal, you've really outdone yourself this time, haven't you? I must admit, I'm thoroughly impressed."
A sly smile played on Mooyoung's lips as he sensed there was more to Jongwon's update. "And what else do you have for me?"
"Sir," Jongwon began cautiously, "I would suggest assigning someone to oversee the wedding arrangements."
Mooyoung reclined in his grand chair, studying Jongwon intently. "Oh, would you now? Go on then, who do you have in mind?"
Jongwon bowed respectfully before motioning to an individual waiting just beyond the threshold. As the person entered, Mooyoung's brow furrowed at the sight of the man's disheveled appearance. With fiery red hair, a matching beard, and fair skin reminiscent of a European, the man sauntered in with an air of casual indifference. He nonchalantly chewed on a piece of gum, his eyes flitting about the room in fascination as he entered, a camera bag slung over his shoulder and clad in loose-fitting attire. Upon meeting Mooyoung's penetrating gaze, he offered a casual greeting, "Hey dude."
Mooyoung exchanged a puzzled glance with Jongwon, prompting the latter to clear his throat and take charge of the situation. Without further ado, and to avoid exacerbating Mooyoung's evident irritation, Jongwon swiftly passed a file in the man's direction. "Mooyoung, meet Mr. Iglesias. He's renowned for capturing the beauty of nature through his lens. But, after our discussion about the upcoming wedding, he's graciously agreed to handle the photography for Mr. Kim and Ms. Jung's special day."
Mooyoung, with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism, opened the folder. As his eyes scanned the contents, his scowl transformed into a smug grin of approval. "Well, Jongwon, color me impressed. You've outdone yourself this time." Rising from his seat, he extended a hand towards Jongwon, who reciprocated the gesture.
