Taehyung, Jungkook, Yewon, and Hyuna successfully arrived in Spain without encountering any issues. Throughout the flight, the two boys engaged in casual conversations, occasionally nodding off here and there. There were moments when they even found comfort in each other's presence, with one dozing off on the other's shoulder, creating an atmosphere of peaceful slumber. While one slept peacefully, the observer admired the sleeper's serene slumber.
Presently, they found themselves in the opulent lobby of a high-end hotel, where Hyuna took charge of checking the arrangements with the receptionist. In this setting, Jungkook chose not to engage too intimately with Taehyung, especially in front of Yewon. He aimed to create an impression that their relationship wasn't as close as Yewon might have desired.
Jungkook hesitated to divulge Yewon's actual plan to Taehyung, uncertain about the elder's potential reaction. He was fully aware that sharing such information might prove futile, given Yewon's adeptness at denying any allegations, which could leave Taehyung compelled to believe her side of the story. Recognizing that Yewon held the upper hand in this situation, Jungkook understood that attempting to expose Yewon's sinister intentions for Taehyung might only result in Yewon manipulating circumstances to prevent any further interactions between the raven and Taehyung. Understanding the delicate dynamics at play, Jungkook grappled with the dilemma of whether to reveal the truth, mindful of the potential consequences that could unfold in the intricate web of their relationships.
He demonstrated his astuteness by choosing not to act foolishly. Instead, he made the strategic decision to feign support for Yewon, creating the illusion that he sought to earn the elder's trust and develop a closer relationship. This calculated approach served multiple purposes: firstly, it granted him the time needed to devise a solution to the situation at hand; secondly, it ensured Taehyung's safety in every conceivable aspect; and thirdly, he found himself devoid of alternative solutions to the predicament. The looming uncertainty of Yewon's potential actions, if he deviated from her plan, fueled his motivation for compliance, as he recognized her malevolence and disturbed state of mind.
"Mr. Kim and Dr. Jeon, these are the keys to your duplex suite on the 16th floor," Hyuna conveyed, handing the card to Taehyung. The elder appeared puzzled by the statement.
"Where's the other key, Hyuna-ssi?" inquired the brunette.
Yewon scoffed and responded instead, "It's the only key, Tae. Why do you need another?"
Taehyung met her gaze and explained, "I thought that—"
Yewon chuckled, interjecting, "I hope you weren't expecting us to share a room, Tae."
Taehyung's cheeks turned a shade of red in response. He promptly offered clarification, stating, "No, no. I wasn't expecting any of that."
With a sing-song tone, she confirmed, "So that's final then. You and Jungkook are sharing the room. Alright, enjoy~~," while looping an arm around Hyuna's arm and departing from the space.
Jungkook and Taehyung exchanged glances, uncertain of each other's thoughts on the situation. Their attention shifted to the golden card held in Taehyung's palm. Jungkook, however, displayed no surprise at the sudden change, fully aware that Yewon orchestrated it knowingly and downplayed its significance.
In an effort to alleviate the awkwardness, the elder decided to take the initiative, suggesting, "You take this room. I'll ask them to give me another---"
Before he could finish his sentence, Jungkook seized the key, grabbed his bag, and proceeded to walk toward the elevator. After a few moments, realizing that Taehyung wasn't following him, he turned back, lightly nudged the brunette, and remarked, "Let's go. I am tired."
