A group of burly men stepped forward, their faces twisted with determination as they pointed their guns directly at Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jimin. Meanwhile, Mooyoung barked out orders to another batch of men, who were instructed to deal with Taehyung's limp, unconscious body sprawled on the ground.
Jungkook's eyes widened in sheer panic as he saw these men move closer to Taehyung. His heart pounded, and his palms grew sweaty. Desperation surged through him, and before he knew it, he was shouting at the top of his lungs, "No! No! Don't even think about touching him!" His voice cracked slightly but he pressed on, his tone dripping with a mix of fury and fear. "I'll snap your arms off your body if you even try anything funny!"
The men paused, taken aback by Jungkook's sudden outburst. Jungkook, fueled by adrenaline, took a step forward, his stance aggressive despite the clear danger they were all in. "I'm serious!" he continued, trying to sound as intimidating as possible, though his youthful face betrayed a hint of vulnerability.
Mooyoung, observing the scene with an amused smirk, let out a scoff. "It's amusing to see you play the hero, Dr. Jeon. You're trying to protect my son when your own life is on the line."
Jungkook's eyes narrowed, his anger blazing. "I'm not scared of you, Mooyoung, or your goons. Go ahead, kill me if you want, but I won't let anyone touch him," he declared, his voice trembling with intensity. Tears of frustration and anger glistened in his eyes.
"Ah, young love," Mooyoung mocked, shaking his head. "It's still a mystery to me how a man can love another man. It's revolting, Dr. Jeon. You're a handsome guy. You could've tried having sex with some woman. Don't you realise how disgusting your existence as a gay man is? How unnatural all of this is. You're an abomination of nature, don't you get it? The whole idea is just pathetic. Like, seriously, can you even imagine a connection like that?" Mooyoung sneered.
"And Taehyung," he continued, disdain dripping from his words, "he's been a worthless piece of crap since childhood. He lived like a parasite, leeching off people's money and mercy. He was nothing before my wife adopted him, and he's still absolutely useless without me. Why on earth would you fall for someone so pathetic? Even if, by some significant stretch, I accept that gay love makes sense, why would you choose to fall in love with this leech? Huh?"
Jungkook's face hardened as he listened to Mooyoung's hateful rant. His jaw clenched, and his fists tightened at his sides. The room seemed to hold its breath, the tension palpable. Every word Mooyoung spewed only fueled Jungkook's resolve, his love and determination for Taehyung burning brighter than ever.
"Shut up! Just shut your absolutely disgusting mouth!" Jungkook yelled, his voice trembling with anger. "If anyone here is pathetic, it's you, Kim Mooyoung. You're a failure as a human being, and don't worry, you'll be behind bars for all your crimes soon. I promise you that."
Mooyoung burst into laughter at Jungkook's words. "I highly doubt that," he said with a smirk. He then turned his gaze to Jongwon, who stood there with his head hung low, looking utterly defeated. Jongwon felt helpless, his hard work and every piece of evidence he had gathered gone in an instant. He was too exhausted to even react.
Mooyoung's lips curled into a triumphant smirk as he turned his gaze to Jongwon, who stood with his head hanging low, the weight of defeat heavy on his shoulders. Jongwon felt utterly helpless. In the blink of an eye, every piece of evidence, every bit of hard work he had painstakingly gathered over the years, was gone. The exhaustion was so overwhelming that he couldn't even muster the energy to react.
With a sinister chuckle, Mooyoung taunted, "This is your father, right, Dr. Jeon? Look at him. Doesn't he seem unusually quiet? Jongwon-ah, tell your son that every bit of evidence you had against me is nothing but ash now. Every single scrap you collected is gone. Poof! Finished! Fucking nothing!" Mooyoung's laughter rang out, sharp and mocking, echoing through the room.
