It was torrential rain outside. A doorbell was heard when Jungkook was preparing makguksu after taking a shower. Jimin asked him to stay at his apartment with Bam while he was gone for a shooting tour. It was something the neighbours did just by the way. No particular reason behind that. They were separated by just one wall and that kind of made them comfortable with each other as brothers. So they often switched apartments just for fun.

Jungkook had a vest and shorts on. His tattoos were on full display. His hair kept loose as they were still kind of wet from the shower. He was busy checking the recipe when he heard the door click meaning somebody had just entered without a knock. Bam was about to bark when Jungkook gestured for him to keep quiet until he was sure who it was. The sweetest pet did what his human told him.

The psychiatrist panicked because why would somebody unknown have the code to Jimin's apartment so on instinct he held the closest weapon he could spot in the kitchen. Within seconds he had a full debate whether to pick the knife or the rolling pin? and finally he went for the rolling pin. Because he was sure as fuck of his muscle strength and fighting skills. He tried not to make any noise but could hear somebody walking, dragging their feet to be precise, so they weren't even trying to be sneaky. this person who just broke in is too confident that he's going to be alone while he steals stuff from his neighbour's apartment.

Jungkook hid behind a wall and waited for the other to come closer. Once the other was close enough he raised the rolling pin so that he could start the attack before the thief even planned to do anything. He jumped out of his hiding spot to scare the thief away and was left speechless.

Kim Taehyung stood there like a zombie who didn't even flinch when Jungkook jumped to almost attack him thinking he was a thief. The man was soaking wet. droplets still dripping from his hair strands. His eyes were blank and baggy. Lips pale and colourless. He looked like he just lost everything in life and Jungkook couldn't believe his eyes. He tried to take in the figure in front of him, decipher if he was hallucinating or if was it real. He kept opening and closing to say something but nothing came out. After their last encounter, the doctor didn't think he would ever come across this man under any circumstances. An encounter, as good as that night, you only get to live once in a lifetime. Guess he was underestimating destiny and his bad luck for sure.

He must've zoned for too long but something made him drop the rolling pin and rush to hold Taehyung's collapsing body. He quickly filled him in his embrace and realised how cold he was. Jungkook didn't know why they kept meeting under abnormal circumstances. Why can't it be a simple date or a normal friendly party chat? It's always an encounter one could never think of.

It was useless trying to make Taehyung stand on his two feet because he was passed out. So Jungkook picked him up in his arms, unbothered if he was getting wet too in the process. Taehyung's lifeless body couldn't bear its own weight and hopelessly leaned on Jungkook. The raven made sure not even a scratch could touch his beautiful skin. 

Jungkook as if on instinct took him to his own apartment because his first aid kit with all the necessities was in there. He knew his apartment better than Jimin's so why not. He carried him to his bed and carefully laid him without creating much discomfort. He quickly covered his body with a quilt because by now Taehyung had started shivering. He turned on the heater and went on to look for his first aid kit. He was running back as soon as he got hold of the said item. He sat beside Taehyung and reluctance took over. Taehyung was in dire need of a change of clothes but he didn't know how to do that without looking like a creep and a pervert. So he tried to wake him up but all his efforts went in vain. Taehyung had experienced something horrific. Jungkook's psychiatric mind kept saying that because the other kept shivering and mumbling incoherently. When the other made no effort to move, Jungkook knew he had to do it but he promised to no one that he wouldn't dare look at him.
