For the past four hours, medical professionals have been inside the operating room attending to Mr. Jung, whose condition was extremely critical. Despite their concerns, the doctors refrained from providing any updates. Yewon remained silent during this time, showing no signs of tears or sadness. She sat in complete stillness. Sehun, though initially concerned about her well-being, gradually realized that Yewon was a proud woman who preferred not to engage in conversations with those she deemed beneath her social status. Despite various attempts by individuals connected to her father's business to support or console her when she appeared downhearted, Yewon consistently rejected their assistance. Instead, she often responded with sharp words or warnings against crossing her boundaries.

Witnessing her endure solitude and her father's neglect, transforming her into a profoundly embittered individual, was truly poignant. She resisted acknowledging her need for love and vulnerability, traits that had always been criticized. During her youth, her father never recognized her talents or accomplishments, dismissing her with the notion that, being a girl, she should conform to certain expectations to secure a suitable match. Her ongoing struggle for her father's validation, acknowledgement, and belief in her capabilities persisted throughout her life.

The challenges drained every bit of affection from her, leaving only a lingering bitterness. All she craved was acknowledgement, acceptance, and recognition. Her desire to inherit the business stemmed from a deep yearning to witness others acknowledging her authority, with heads bowed in submission. She continually suppressed her inner turmoil, replacing her pain, resentment, and aspirations with a singular focus – the pursuit of power and dominance at the pinnacle.

Sehun witnessed her maturation, observing how her father consistently disregarded her presence as if she were a burden. Although he harbored affection for her, he couldn't overlook the reality that she couldn't inherit his business. She, as a daughter, would eventually have to yield to another man. His longing for a male heir led him to inadvertently overlook her precious childhood years. The lingering wounds from this past neglect remained painful.

Yewon, on the other hand, harboured a strong desire to ascend to the leadership of the Jung Empire, defying the conventional gender roles. She yearned for her father's trust and an apology for the neglect she endured. Despite being a woman, she believed she was deserving of the power she sought. Yewon could sense the determination in her father's eyes, and she longed for him to acknowledge her capabilities. However, she was also wary of numerous opportunists seeking to seize what rightfully belonged to her. Overwhelmed by the complexities of her life, she struggled to process everything and remained unwilling to confide in anyone.

Sehun regarded her with a paternal affection, but she viewed him merely as a servant. As she represented the future of the business, she couldn't fathom seeking solace from someone she considered insignificant. Despite his inner reluctance, the manager resisted offering comfort to the girl.

Unexpectedly, Taehyung's voice broke into his thoughts. He briskly approached his fiancée, Yewon, who was seated on the bench outside the OT. Calling out, "Yewon!", he received no response. She remained seated, seemingly indifferent to his attempts to offer comfort or a hug. In fact, she flinched at his touch, causing Taehyung to feel awkward. Understanding the unspoken cue, he withdrew his actions and sat beside her for a while. However, as her lack of response persisted, he eventually stood up and approached the manager, inquiring, "Mr. Park, how is Mr. Jung?"

Sehun released a weary sigh, stating, "He's in the OT, and medical professionals have been avoiding our inquiries."

"Alright. Mr. Park, if you'd like, I can stay with Ms. Jung. You can take a break. You must be exhausted from the whole situation. I'll arrange for a guest room for you—"
