Taehyung's legs bounced restlessly up and down as he sat, chewing on his bottom lip with a mix of anticipation and nervous energy. He kept glancing at the mirror, adjusting his outfit for the hundredth time, making sure every detail was perfect. He tugged at his shirt, smoothed out invisible wrinkles, and fixed his hair, all the while stealing glances at his reflection, hoping to look his best.
As if on cue, his phone chimed, signaling the arrival of a text message. He grabbed his phone eagerly, and his face instantly brightened when he saw the sender. It was Jungkook. The message read, "You didn't give me a good morning kiss?" followed by an angry emoji.
Taehyung couldn't help but giggle at his boyfriend's playful pout. He quickly typed back, "But I did, sweetheart."
Barely a moment passed before Jungkook's reply came through: "That wasn't a kiss. It was a peck. Just a lip-to-lip contact. I was expecting much more after last night, Tae."
Taehyung's fingers danced over the keyboard as he responded, "Really? What happened last night?"
Almost immediately, Jungkook shot back, "Dare to ask that question from my ass, you asshole."
Taehyung laughed out loud, finding Jungkook's irritation utterly endearing. Jungkook was always adorable when he was upset, and Taehyung loved to tease him just to see that cute, angry expression. "Oh, you're not being very respectful to your hyung, baby. Aiming for a punishment or something?" he typed, his grin widening.
The elder's heart fluttered with affection as he imagined Jungkook's reaction to his teasing. The exchange brought a warmth to his chest, a delightful reminder of the playful, loving bond they shared.
A shy emoji blinked into existence on the screen, Jungkook's way of responding. Taehyung sent back a kiss emoji, feeling the warmth spread through his chest. Then another message from Jungkook appeared: "Are you nervous?"
Taehyung smiled at the screen, recognizing that all the playful banter had been a lead-up to this sincere question. He typed back, "Not anymore. And I love you so much."
Jungkook's response was almost instantaneous: "I love you too. Come home soon."
Just as Taehyung was basking in the warmth of their exchange, a staff member's announcement cut through the moment. The set was ready for shooting. Taehyung took a deep breath, feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves. It was his first real job in five years since his coma. The road to recovery had been long and arduous, taking nearly a year and a half of diligent physiotherapy followed by some much-needed personal time.
With one last glance at Jungkook's affectionate message, Taehyung pocketed his phone and made his way to the set, determined to give his best performance.
After everything was seized by the legal authorities, Taehyung found himself left with absolutely nothing. Stripped of his belongings and stability, he felt adrift in a sea of uncertainty. In this moment of despair, Jungkook and his loyal dog Bam extended a lifeline, welcoming Taehyung into their apartment without hesitation. Initially, Taehyung had no other options and had to accept Jungkook's insistence that he not live on his own. Jungkook was stubbornly protective, fully aware of the sensitive nature of Taehyung's situation, and he refused to let Taehyung suffer alone. They were in this together, and Jungkook was determined to support him.
As time passed and Taehyung's physical condition improved, he began to feel restless. He didn't want to be a burden on his boyfriend and tried to persuade Jungkook to let him find his own place. However, Jungkook was not one to take 'no' for an answer. He had a way of getting Taehyung to do exactly what he wanted, using a mix of charm and determination that Taehyung found hard to resist.
