It was weird being in Malum headquarters. Everything was so dark yet sleek. There were steel support beams all around and and the majority of the room was either made of steel or metal. I could hear the sound of my combat boots against the metal floor, it was almost futuristic. It was a lot different than AOSS headquarters. When I went to AOSS headquarters in New York it looked like a bright office. I didn't see anything special there, at least nothing I remembered. Here, however, there was so much to look at. There were projected touch screen computers all in this one big open room. The room, if it even counted as one, must've been the size of five football fields. There were hallways, some defined by walls and some more by steel bars, control panels, and a bunch of people. It looked a lot like my dream where I got attacked. The only difference was that everything was old and rusted in my dream. Here everything seemed new and high tech. I turned slightly back to Matt and said, "I hate to admit it, but this is amazing."

     "Security is insane too."

He had his hand lightly on my back. I was about to split up from him but he grabbed my forearm before I could advance further. "We have a lot of space to cover, Matt."

He pulled me off to the side and said, "We aren't going to get anywhere if we don't get in with them. Powers will take us far, but we don't want to look suspicious either."

     "Okay. You're right."

"We need someone to recruit us. We need to get in with them without them finding out that we broke in here."

"Hey you know how when people get hurt the common thing to say is, 'Don't freak out.'?" I reached into my boot and grabbed a small knife. You could barely see that I was holding it.

"Yeah, I guess. Um, can I ask why this is being brought up?"

I lowered my voice and got closer to him so that no one could see what I was about to do. "Maybe you should."

"Should what?" And thats when I did it. I took the knife and stuck it right under where my kidney should be. I fell on my knees and onto Matt. "Help! Help! Somebody help! Someone please!" I heard Matt scream. It was a blood curdling fearful scream. Slowly things started to blur. "Help!" And then everything blacked out.

When I woke up my vision didn't come back immediatly. The edges started to not blur anymore and things started to clear up. The room I was in was bright. It looked like a little hospital bedroom. I put my hand over my eyes slightly to stop the brightness from hurting my eyes. I realized I was in some sort of bed and tried to get up. I got half way there until the pain started and I fell back. "Ugh," I looked around the room some more. I was definitly still in Malum headquarters. Everything was made of steel and the heart monitor was a projected holagraph. I looked down at my arm and noticed that I was attatched to an IV. To my left there was a huge sliding glass door with a steel frame. On the other side I could see a bunch of people staring at me. I must've been the big news for the day. Someone emerged from the crowd, opened the door, and came into the room.

"You're awake." He walked over and began to switch the IV bag.

"Excuse me, but what are you doing?" The guy was about six foot two, had blue eyes, black hair, and a slight tan. He was definitely no older than 17.

"Changing your IV. Stop fidgiting, your stiches will unwind." I looked down and I was bandaged and stitched up.

"This is just a guess, but I'm pretty sure thats what the doctor is supposed to do. Again, just throwing it out there." I said sarcasticaly.

"I am the doctor. One of them atleast. We have quite a few of them here."

"That's impossible, you can't be older than 17."

"Eighteen, if you must know." He didn't look up from his clip board. "Name?"

     "Eva Price. Yours?"

He looked up at me and raised an eyebrow. The corner of his mouth went up for a slight second and then he put his head back down to face the papers and said, "Dr. Maxim"

"You're awfully young to be a doctor."

He just chose to ignore my comment. "Age?"

     "Sixteen."

"How'd you get into the facility?"

"I opened a door." I smirked the slightest bit.

"Miss Price do you have any idea as to where you are?"

I turned toward him as much as I could considering I was hooked up to a bunch things and cringed. "Why are you talking like that? I thought you said you were eighteen."

"I have to keep it professional in here. Don't avoid the question."

     "I figured it out."

      "Oh, did you?"

"I know this is some sort of intelligence agency. Or should it be worded as a secret agency? Let's word it simply. Spies. This place has spies." My tone of voice was a bit on the smart ass side.

"How'd you figure it out? Maybe its just an office."

     "Let's say that I'm a bit advanced."

     "And that's supposed to mean....?"

     "That I want in."

"It took me a lot of convincing to let them let me fix you up. We usually don't let intruders go. No offense but why would we keep you?"

"Train me as your own and I won't say a thing to anyone about what goes on in here.""

"It's not up to me whether or not you stay."

"Well then get who ever is, in here." He was almost out the door when I said, "Send my friend in here, please."

"Good luck." He said to me before sending Matt in.

Matt walked in with a worried look on his face. You'd think a telepath would be more aware as to what was actually going on. He pushed his hair back with both of his hands, obviously worried. When he finally looked at me I gave a small nod,"We're in."
