The fact that Dotty and I hit it off pretty quickly gave me something less to worry about. The last thing I needed was another problem to worry about. Plus she gave me a little bit of a head start on one of my powers. It was cool how there was finally something that was in my control. I chose what happened and how I wanted it to happen. I took my bags into my room and began to look around. It was a pretty decent size. My room was square with a bed, desk, and like Dotty mentioned, a gorgeous window. I could see the lights from the lab sparkling all the way from my room. I wanted my room to be as comfortable as the one back home, so I decided to move a couple of things around. I made my bed go in the middle of the wall to the right and on the wall to the left I put my desk all the way by the corner closest to the door. I would’ve put it closer to the window, but on that side there was a closet. I made sure to do this as quietly as I could because I did not want to be annoying this early in the school year.
I started unpacking my clothes and the stuff for my bed, the rest could wait. My bed sheets were a shade of grey and my covers on top were a bright red. My pillows were huge grey fluffy ones with small red accent pillows. I opened up my closet to find that it was actually a decent size. It definitely was not my walk in closet from back home, but it was something. I quickly, and very sloppily might I add; put my clothes in the closet. By the time I finished with everything it was 2 in the morning. I didn’t even get the chance to get under the sheets before I feel asleep.

I woke up 3 and half hours later to the sound of knocking on my door. I stumbled over my luggage to answer.
“Open your eyes Reagan! You said and I quote ‘you can carry me through the morning routine.’ Behold the great morning routine!”
“Ugh! Okay, what’s first?”
“First you wake up.”
“Okay….and after that?”
“Well, I already took a shower so go! And hurry, we don’t have a lot of time to get ready!”I did as she said and finished in record time. “Ten minutes, not too shabby. Now we just have to get dressed and put some makeup on and then we can go out the door to the dining hall.”
“Race to see who does it faster?”
“Go!”
Even at my fastest pace, we still tied. “So, I’m assuming we have breakfast now?”
“You are assuming correctly.”
We walked out of our room and into the lobby. “So where are all these cute boys you were speaking of?”
“ Either at the dining hall or sleeping in a little longer. Oh, but look Parker is out already.”
“Him?”
“He’s hot, popular, and pretty smart.”
I didn’t mention the little run in I had with him last night. I just met Dotty, and even though she seemed nice, she was still stranger. “So do all the girls go after him around here?”
“He is well sought after. But, his relationships never really last too long, actually, you could barely call them that. He flirts from girl to girl, girls throw themselves at him, and then he just goes to the next one.”
