"Reagan, please tell me why you're wearing UGGS. It's finally starting to get warmer now that winter is over." Dotty said to me as I cleaned up our suite.
"Spring only just started so its still a little chilly, number one, and number two you know I love winter I have to hold on to the cold while it's here." As I thought about it though, I changed my mind, my cardigan and jeans were enough. I changed my UGGS to flats. "Happy?"
"Super!"
I finally got the suite looking decent and grabbed my cross body bag and stuffed some of my books in it. I grabbed my keys from the door knob of my room, which is where I always kept them, and headed towards the door. "Bye Dot!"
"Wait! Where are you going?"
"To the library."
"On a Monday? We just got back from the weekend. How much work could you possibly have?"
"Well lets see. There's those geometry problems we have to do from the textbook, the two page summery on chapter two for the English book we're reading, I have to study for the world history test we have on Wednesday, and then the meiosis worksheet for bio. And if I'm not mistaken we have bio and world history together so you better hit the books too."
"I thought being a teenager was all about angst and your dog eating your homework?"
"No dogs on campus and no time for angst, at least not for us since we are SA's. You can come to the library with me if you want."
"As much as I would love to, you know nothing gets done when I'm around. Go, be your super smart self."
I walked out and down the hallway. I took the elevator down to the lobby and as soon as the doors opened I saw Parker sitting down on one of the couches. Most of me was hoping he wouldn't notice me, but then there was that small bit that wouldn't mind if he did. I walked towards the front doors and of course he got up and began walking next to me.
"Hey." He said to me as he stuffed his hands in his pockets and walked beside me.
"Hi."
"Where're you headed?"
"Library. As you can see my arms and bag are stuffed with books filled with work for me to do." I smirked a little bit just so he would know I wasn't being mean. Today I was in a good mood. A no drama mood.
"Need some help?"
"It's okay I could use the extra muscle gain." Regardless of what I said he took the top three text books which only left me holding what was in my bag and the paperback English book. "Parker, why are you being so nice today?"
"Why do I have to have a reason?" At this point we were in the library and I was getting a key for one of the private study/conference rooms. The library was no exception to how everything on campus was huge. It had like five floors and we were having some trouble finding the private room.
"Because you're you, Damon. You always have a motive."
"I do not!"
"You do too!" I said as I laughed at the fact that he was denying it. There's no way his scheming ways were unintentional. I finally found the room and unlocked it. Then I set my stuff down and unpacked my bag. The room was one big conference table with a bunch of spiny chairs. I sat down at the one at the end and Parker sat down to the chair next to it on the right.
"I don't have motives, I go with the flow of things and they turn out how they turn out."
