“Stay calm, quick, do you think you could teleport us somewhere.” Matt said. He sounded calm, but I could hear both of our hearts trying to jump out of our chests.

“Yeah, yeah.” The elevator had reached the first floor of the bottom half, and would soon be headed down here. “Focus” I told myself. “To where?”

                “Anywhere! Hurry, please!”

The first place that popped up into my head was my room. I kept repeating the words, “My room and Matt” over and over again. Just as I heard the elevator going back down, we were gone. “Oooff.” I really had to work on this whole landing thing.

                “Um, Reagan?”

                “Yeah?”

                “Where are we?”

I surveyed my room, and my room it was. Except for the fact that it was my room back in New York City, not my dorm room. “Wow, I can’t do anything right. I kept thinking lets go to my room, it’s safe and far away, meaning my dorm room, but I still see this place as my real room. Yeah, I don’t know how to break this to you, but we’re in New York City.” I sat down as the distance of the trip began to set in. I forgot how much power teleporting to long distances took.

I thought he would be angry, scared, or even surprised, but he wasn’t even the slightest bit phased. “You can always just teleport us back right?”

“Yeah, but I need a little bit of time, teleporting long distance takes actual energy out of me. I could teleport you back by yourself if you want?”

“Nah, I’ll stay here with you until you get better. What if you’re actually hurt, or when you go back by yourself you lose all you’re energy and have trouble getting to your room? You’d be out by yourself, and you’d have to explain why you needed to teleport all the way over here. It’s the gentlemanly thing to do.” He said and then winked admittedly the hottest wink I’d ever seen.

“Say’s the guy that beat me up a couple hours ago.” I chuckled. “You sure you don’t mind, I mean won’t we get in trouble?”

“I doubt it; we have till Monday first period till they notice we’re gone.”

“Then do you mind if we go back Sunday night, I really don’t feel like facing anyone right now, plus it’s already midnight.” After the words escaped my mouth I realized what I had just said. I basically had just invited Matt, a random guy nonetheless, to spend the night with me till Sunday. He may be a nice guy, but he’s still a guy that I didn’t know too well. He was also a hot guy.

He grinned. “Stay with a gorgeous girl at her New York City apartment versus staying in my dorm where the hot water doesn’t work half of the time. I think my choice is pretty obvious.”

“Gorgeous, huh? You’re not too bad yourself.” My god, I was flirting. What happened to staying focused? I got up and walked over to my desk, took a post it note, and wrote something to Dotty.

 It said: Dear Dotty,

Accidently teleported my self to my room in New York City while I was trying to teleport myself to my room in the dorm. Be back Sunday night. Text if people need me and I’ll come right back!
