I threw myself onto my huge couch as everyone awed in amazement. “So, what do you guys think?” I said even though I already knew the answer.

“This place is huge! I didn’t even know they made apartments this big!” I heard Derek say.

“Yeah, last week when you said you were home, you never mentioned you were in paradise.” Dotty said, and then quickly realized she wasn’t supposed to tell anyone.

“I thought you said she was in the infirmary?” Henderson said. “Didn’t that Matt guy say he ‘kicked your ass last week’? If you were here then that means he must’ve been too.”

“Oh my god, that’s right, you dog, and you never mentioned a guy!” Dotty said assuming something else.

“Not that it’s any of your guys’ business, BUT, like I said Matt has been through similar circumstances. I met him after I ran off from the pool and we talked the whole night, as friends. Then it got late and I offered to go back to my dorm so we can talk some more, as friends, and I thought of home in my teleportation so it brought me here. I missed it so much I couldn’t help but stay, so he stayed on the couch and I stayed in my room, on the third floor.” There we go a partial lie never hurt anyone. My heart was racing faster than a lion trying to catch a zebra. Can for one time Henderson not read my mind.

“Why didn’t you just say that?” Henderson was still skeptical.

“Let us stop for a second. Will one of you please enlighten me on what you thought I was doing when you figured out Matt was here with me? Anyone?”

“I would’ve assumed you were fooling around with him. Not judging just answering your question.” Olivia said, making it clear that she had no intent on hurting me but clearly stating what it seemed like.

“Exactly. So can we just forget about my business, and get to AOSS business.”

“Um, yeah. Let’s go.” Henderson said leading us out of the apartment and back out into New York’s fast paced commotion. We were ordered to not open the envelope filled with documents and when we got to headquarters we weren’t given any more information. The only plus to the mission, if it could even be called that, was that headquarters was beautiful. Every last square inch of headquarters was modern architecture and design, my favorite. I loved how the main colors were steel grey with bright colored accents. Afterwards we went back to my place. Things were still a little awkward, which only made me think about how much I could actually tell my new found friends. If they would over react over me hanging out with a friend then there was a vast horizon of things I could never say to them.

“How long are we staying here for again?” I asked Henderson while I was in the kitchen fixing myself a bowl of cereal. This was going to be a long weekend.
