"Poppy what is this?" I asked, holding up the sweater we had picked out the other day in Hogsmeade.

"It's the one you chose? What's wrong?" her sly smile barely showing.

"Yes, it is the one I chose but what is on it now?" I flipped it over a few times, showing off the stitching additions.

On the front was a golden snitch, perfectly stitched over the left area where a pocket would be if it had one.

"Oh that? I thought it was cute so I added it, you don't like it?" her face was pouty, big eyes pleading.

How could I be upset now.

"I've been practicing my embroidery, I'm sure you notice it on some of my own clothes and things."

She was right. I had noticed her cute little talent of embroidery and crotchet. She seemed to always add little embellishments to things she owned.

"I—no I like it...it's just..." I sighed, trying to ignore her expression but I couldn't, "I love it. I just wonder what you're up to..." I fibbed a little.

It wasn't that I didn't love it really, more like having a golden snitch stitched on my sweater was kind of a blatantly obvious sign as if I was on display for Sebastian who was the seeker. It all seemed too on the nose for me.

I almost wondered what Poppy was thinking when she put this on here but I quickly brushed the thoughts away, slipping it over my head.

"You look great!" she said, giggling and handing me a small Slytherin and Gryffindor flag.

"Gryffindor too?" I inquired, confused.

"For Garreth? Did you forget he is the Captain and playing today?"

I didn't forget about that but it did slip my mind that no one, not even Poppy was aware that Garreth and I weren't an item anymore. I felt guilty not telling her but for some reason I just wasn't ready to talk about it all. As if admitting it would plummet me into another realm of chaos I just wasn't ready for so instead I held onto the fake idea, hoping to continue the lie a little longer.

"Uh—no I didn't forget, just wasn't sure if waving a Gryffindor flag around the Slytherin stands was a good idea."

"It will be fine," she smiled, pulling me along down the corridor out of the girls bathroom.

The match would start in an hour and everyone was already making their way out to the Quidditch field to prepare and find their seats.

The air was cold so thankfully we had remembered to bring our scarves and gloves. I opted for wearing a warm hat today as well since I hadn't been able to find my velvet green ribbon after my incident with the troll, probably having lost it forever at that fated camp.

As we made our way towards the towering stands, I spotted Ominis who was vigorously rubbing his gloved hands together by the entrance. His sweater was silvery grey and trimmed with green, with a striped scarf tucked around his neck.

"Ominis!" Poppy called out, rushing over to him.

I approached shortly after, smiling at Poppy who looked so happy and cute standing by his side.

"I forgot how cold it was coming to these things," he complained, shoving his hands into his pockets.

I always forgot that Ominis, Poppy, and everyone else really had spent many more years here than I ever would. They all had many memories from their first year until now, of attending these things and so much else. It almost made me feel jealous in an odd way.
