love that consumes

I've carried a love so strong,
It feels too big for my small heart,
A love I never knew I could have
Until it was all for you

For every inch you gave,
I ran miles just to hold on,
Chasing the light in your eyes,
Living for your smile.

If anyone dared to hurt you,
I’d become a wildfire,
Burning everything in my path,
Unstoppable, unafraid.

No cost would ever be too much,
No line too far to cross.
I’d tear the world apart for you,
If you only asked me to.

But in the silence after the flames,
I wonder if this fire I carry
Is destroying the world,
Or just burning me alive.

Hey readers, I hope y'all are doing well!  Today, as this is my 200th poem in this book, I just wanted to thank you all for being a part of this journey of mine as a poet.

PS: I was young when I wrote the initial poems of this book, so they might not be that good. But I personally like the poems that I've been posting recently.
