Yoongi nodded faintly at the bowing workers as he made his way towards the elevator with quick large steps, his secretaries now accustomed to their employer's fast paced walking,
"What are you waiting for, Mr. Park" said the tall man as he stopped in his track abruptly without turning, startling Jimin who was far at his usual spot lining with the rest of the workers.
The company's employees were silent but their thoughts were so loud Jimin almost heard them, all quickly grasping that the black haired boy was ordered to follow the CEO along with his other subordinates, a privilege never acquired by anyone but the elite of the company.
Jimin quickly made his way towards the group, his hair bouncing as he barely managed to squeeze himself in the rather tight space for it was after all an elevator filled with five grown men, Ms. Yun, and he himself was supposed to be the seventh.
"Half of you should step out and take the other elevator" spoke Yoongi upon noticing the situation, and Jimin let out a breath he didn't know he was holding as he made his way to evacuate as well.
"Not you," he said with a low voice as he grabbed Jimin by his arm, his eyes flickering down intrigued by how his hand effortlessly wrapped around the smaller's slender wrist, "You do not move until I specifically say so"
Jimin never before in his entire life felt painfully out of place, he stood calmly in Yoongi's office along with the other assistants as they listened to Ms. Yun informing the CEO with his schedule, his fingers mindlessly fumbling with the long sleeved, purple sweater he wore on top of his white button up as he dreaded his entire existence.
"Alright then, leave the documents on the desk and see yourselves out" ordered Yoongi as he leaned on his desk with both hands in his pockets, eyes fixated on one short purple being, and he waited. Carefully inspecting whether his feet would falter and move a centimeter, prudently observing whether his delicate, slightly reddish face features would display any sign of pondering the option of exiting the office. But Jimin didn't.
The black haired boy stood his ground with his hands crossed and eyes round and expectant, and though he didn't particularly feel scared or wary, something deep inside of him urged him to abandon his rebellious attitude and submit to the man in front of him. And if Jimin didn't know any better, he would've said that was his survival instinct taking the lead. But that's just him exaggerating, right?
"Come closer," spoke Yoongi calmly as he unbuttoned his vest with one hand, his broad shoulders visibly more relaxed than earlier that morning.
Jimin obeyed and Yoongi turned around and slid his blazer down to his mid arms, signaling for Jimin to take the rest off
"You will study the proposal of Kim&Brothers and write a detailed paper about their strengths and weaknesses," he began as he settled himself on his chair, subtly enjoying Jimin standing on his tip toes in an attempt to hang his blazer, "then on, provide me with a brief presentation about your progress with Holly. And lastly, observe how Ms. Yun constructs my schedule for you will find it handy in the future"
"Y-yes?" the younger tilted his head to the side in confusion, too stunned to speak.
"But before all of that, there's a coffee machine at the far corner to your left, serve me a cup of that Mr. Park will you" he leaned back in his chair and watched with darkened eyes, contemplating whether he'd succeeded in frustrating Jimin or should he push further.
Despite the fact that Jimin knew the CEO for no more than couple of weeks, and spoke to him even less than so, he was positive that Yoongi was not the sort of man to let people try him and get away with it easily. Jimin knew there would certainly be consequences to his little joke, but the CEO took him aback when he didn't bluntly scold him for it like he did last time. This was a game of endurance, and Jimin was the one who started playing it, thus, it is only fair for him to play further.
"How do you like your coffee, Sir?" he flashed him an innocent smile, lips a tad bit too sparkly from the strawberry lip balm, then made his way to the coffee machine.
"Bitter and hostile" Yoongi chose his words intentionally.
Jimin took the chance of having his back turned to the silver haired CEO and rolled his eyes, "much like you then" he mumbled as he pressed a few buttons on the machine.
"You know, for a fairly small man" whispered Yoongi in Jimin's ear as he suddenly stood behind him, his hand slowly crept up and gently wrapped around the smaller's arm just like it did back in the elevator, "you sure talk back big. Someone should discipline that rude tongue of yours".
The hair on Jimin's nape stood on end as he registered the silver haired man's breath brushing his ear, his eyes widened and with all of the carelessness in the world, he immediately turned around stunned.
Jimin should've known that when someone is so close to you that you can almost feel the heat of his chest on your back, the last thing you should do is turn around and face him. Jimin watched enough cheesy romantic movies to know that this almost always end up with the characters lips brushing and sometimes even kissing, a moment he patiently anticipated in the movies he enjoyed, but horribly dreaded in the situation he was in now.
Their faces were inches apart allowing their noses to bump, black dangerous orbs staring relentlessly into brown doe ones, and as much as Yoongi attempted to register any suspicious movement from the boy he was hovering over and carefully study his reactions, that faint strawberry scent seemed to always cloud his rational judgment and leave him in a daze.
Jimin whipped his head to the side quickly, mumbling a quiet "y-your coffee is ready Sir" but as Yoongi's eyes fell on the feverishly red nape and ears, he knew he won this round.
And Jimin hated that Yoongi knew.
