Anakin was holding his blue-bladed lightsaber dangerously close to my throat at the bottom of the rocky hill, the river of lava flowing behind them. Obi-Wan was standing at the top with his own lightsaber in hand, his tunic darkened with ash and his cloth spotted with burns.

"Fight me, Kenobi," Anakin growled menacingly. "Or she will die a horrible death."

"Let her go, Anakin," Obi-Wan said in a strong voice. "I will not fight you."

"Even if I kill her?" he mocked.

His expression hardened, but he did not ignite his saber. "One last chance," Obi-Wan warned. "Let her go, or face the consequences."

Anakin sneered. "Prepare to say goodbye, Kenobi."

He then lowered his blade and lifted me up in a Force-choke, pushing me toward the raging river of lava. The heat was so intense that I thought my skin was going to catch on fire before I even touched the surface.

Just when my foot was an inch away from being burned, Obi-Wan ignited his blue blade and yelled out, "Stop this, Anakin! Give her to me."

Satisfied, Anakin harshly pulled me back and threw me at Obi-Wan's feet. He quickly grabbed my arm and stood me up. "Get back to the ship, darling," he said quietly, leaning his forehead on mine. "I'll meet you there."

"Don't do this, Obi," I pleaded. "He could kill you."

"You're the only thing that matters to me right now," Obi-Wan responded. He kissed my temple and said, "Go."

I had to practically pry myself off of him, but I eventually ran off to the ship and prayed with all of my energy that he would be alright.
