I was sitting on the set of Padme's ship, watching everyone scurrying around before they filmed the next scene. It was quite overwhelming, so I had retreated a bit further into the back of the set in order to keep myself calm.
Suddenly, I saw a silhouette out of the corner of my eye, and I looked over to find Ewan kneeling down next to me in full costume. "Hello, darling," he greeted politely. "What're you doing all the way over here?"
I shrugged and said, "Just a bit overwhelmed, is all."
"That's understandable," he nodded. "Sometimes it gets a little crazy for me as well."
"You sure hide it better," I replied, chuckling sarcastically. "I wish I could do the same."
Ewan laid a hand on my shoulder and rubbed his thumb along the hem of my shirt. "If this is your coping mechanism, that's nothing to be ashamed of. You should be glad that you can deal with it in some way."
I had never thought about it that way, but once he said it to me, I felt proud of myself. I was able to cope with my anxiety, even if I needed help with it sometimes. "You really are Obi-Wan Kenobi," I smiled, patting his hand.
He leaned down and kissed the top of my head. "I do my best," he chuckled.
"Your best is enough, Ewan. Trust me."
His smile warmed my heart, and I placed a kiss on his knuckles to show my affection towards him. After a moment, he said reluctantly, "I better get back to work, my darling. The Jedi Council are calling me."
"Go and serve your Republic, Master Kenobi," I replied, playing along.
Ewan kissed my head again and left me alone on the ship.
