Imagine #42 (Ewan McGregor)

Ewan watched me as I sat on the edge of the bed, nervously fussing with my hands. I was having a bit of an anxiety attack, but I had insisted that I could handle it without his help. He had a conflicted expression on his face, but he yielded to my request and sat close by in case I needed him.

I was doing pretty well, all things considered. My breathing was steady, and my body wasn't as tense as usual. I felt confident in myself, but I soon lost that feeling when the familiar wave of heat washed over me, indicating that my anxiety was worsening.

With a frustrated sigh, I said, "I might need your help after all, Ewan."

He instantly got up and sat behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist. "I've got you, love," Ewan whispered, kissing the side of my head. "Don't worry."

I smiled to myself and leaned back against his chest, focusing on the security of his arms. I stroked my fingertips along them, and he sighed into my hair. "Someone's enjoying this too much," I chuckled, wanting to distract myself from my spinning thoughts.

"Your touch is contagious," he replied in a murmur. "I enjoy feeling you in any sort of way."

"Obviously," I snorted.

In response, Ewan pulled me back and laid me down next to him on the bed. He kissed my forehead gently and asked, "Is this okay?"

"As long as I'm looking at your beautiful face," I smirked.

His chest shook with laughter underneath my hands. "Beautiful, huh?"

"It's true," I nodded. "I think a lot of other ladies would agree with me, whether they have a crush on you or not."

"As long as I'm beautiful to you, that's all that matters to me," Ewan said quietly. 

I sighed and ran my fingers on his auburn beard. "You're the most handsome man I've ever seen, and I am not exaggerating when I say that."

He pulled me closer to him and kissed my lips gently. "I believe you, darling."

I smiled and buried my face into his chest, falling asleep not long after that.
