Obi-Wan kept me close to him as we cautiously walked through the town of Mapuzo, keeping an eye out for any nearby stormtroopers. The coast seemed to be clear, so he grabbed my hand and took me to the small hideout that our contact, Tala, had led us to.

Once we were safely inside, Obi-Wan hugged me tightly and pressed a kiss on my head. "It's okay, love," he murmured. "We're safe now."

I exhaled deeply and rested my cheek on his chest, listening to his strong heartbeat to calm myself down. Eventually, I pulled away and placed both of my elegant hands on his rough, handsome face. "I wish I could be as brave as you are," I said quietly. "You never fail to amaze me."

"I'm only brave because you're here with me," he replied. "You make me stronger, Lyra, and I'm grateful for that."

I could only look at Obi-Wan affectionately as he kissed my palm, and the love I felt for him was indescribable. He meant the galaxy to me, and I wanted nothing more than to be with the man who loved me just as much.

I hugged him again and muttered, "I love you, Obi."

He rested his chin on the top of my head and said, "I love you more, milady."
