Obi-Wan stood across from Anakin and gazed at me, who had his arm wrapped around my delicate throat. He did not want to fight his best friend, but he also could not let anything happen to me, so he said strongly, "Let her go, Anakin. She has no involvement in this."

Anakin glared at Obi-Wan and replied, "She absolutely has a part in this. She betrayed me just like you did, and she will pay for it." He removed his arm and replaced it instead with his lightsaber, holding the blue blade dangerously close.

"Stop!"

The three of us turned around in unison to see Padme running down the ramp of her ship, clearly pregnant with Luke and Leia. Anakin immediately deactivated his saber and embraced her tightly.

It gave me enough time to run over to Obi-Wan, and I crashed into his chest. My body was shaking violently in fear, and he didn't take his eyes off of Anakin once while he wrapped his arms around me. "Stay close to me," he quietly said, kissing the top of my head. "I don't know what he is going to do."

I nodded and did as I was told, letting Obi-Wan stand in front of me protectively. Anakin eventually did the same thing with Padme, even though she was heavily protesting his actions. It was a standoff between the two Jedi, their gazes locked on each other intensely. Both were waiting for the other to make the first move while the lava angrily burst behind them.

Anakin ignited his saber first and stood in a defensive stance. Obi-Wan sighed wearily and said, "If you want to fight me, then do it. But leave Lyra and Padme out of it."

Anakin turned to face Padme and gestured for her to get on the ship, while I ever so reluctantly stepped away from Obi-Wan and cautiously watched the former Jedi as I made my way to the ramp.

We could only grip onto each other tightly as the two people closest to us began to fight in a vicious duel that would decide the fate of the galaxy forever.
