Ewan was filming a scene for his new Star Wars movie, Attack of the Clones. I was standing behind the camera and loving every second of it. He was always a charming man to everyone around him, but Ewan seemed more charismatic in the role, so he never failed to make me blush on the sidelines.
He did the scene a few more times before the director, George Lucas, called out "Cut!", and Ewan walked over to talk with him.
I had always admired his ability to focus deeply on his various different roles, and his patience was so outstanding that he seemed like a Jedi in real life. I wish I had that, I thought to myself.
A moment later, Ewan came over to where I was at and grabbed me by the waist, spinning me around in the air. I involuntarily yelped from his sudden actions, and he laughed at my response. He then set me down on the ground and said casually, "Hello."
"What was that for?" I asked, trying to catch my breath.
"Sorry," he apologized. "I didn't mean to startle you."
I exhaled. "It's alright. Just warn me next time."
Ewan nodded and kissed my head. "I will."
I smiled and hugged him tightly. "You look amazing, by the way," I commented, my voice muffled in his chest.
"Thank you, love," he replied with a smile. "I'm happy to be back here."
I pulled back slightly and brushed his long, auburn hair away. "You have to be the handsomest Jedi I've ever seen."
Ewan laughed. "I think you're a bit biased, though."
"I don't care," I said, shaking my head to emphasize my point. "It's the truth, and I'm sticking with it."
He rested his forehead against mine and whispered, "I appreciate it, darling."
We stood like that for a few minutes, and then Ewan got back to work, giving me a wink as he walked away.
