Obi-Wan sat on the moving transport and watched the sandy hills go by as we got closer to home. I was laying my head on his lap, and he glanced down at me with soft eyes. I was clearly exhausted from my long day at work, and he wished that he could offer me a better life than the one we were living on Tatooine.

But he knew it was safer to live in obscurity rather than a glamorous life, so he sighed and laid a hand on my head, brushing the stray brown pieces of hair off of my face.

I slightly shifted at the contact, and Obi-Wan was afraid that he had woken me up, but I quickly dozed off into a deep sleep again, not even opening my eyes.

He smiled a bit and rubbed his fingers along my brow.

No matter how bad our life was, Obi-Wan knew he would be fine as long as he had me with him. His Queen was the universe that he revolved around in, and he was never going to let anything happen to me. "You're safe with me," he whispered, leaning down and pressing a lightweight kiss to my head. "I promise."
