I dreadfully crawled into bed, putting the covers over myself. Hesitantly, I turned off my lamp, leaving myself in the complete void of possibilities. Another night, another nightmare. I already told Jaxx that I would be fine sleeping by myself. Totally. I wasn't going to bother him again. Not even for a dollar. Or 10,000 more. Tonight I would handle my nightmares on my own. Taking a deep breath, I bravely lay down and closed my eyes.

I walked through twisted halls. Its barrier held peeling striped wallpaper, and portraits that followed me. My feet took me to a door. The quality didn't look any better than the walls I had passed, or my life. Out of curiosity I opened in. I wish I didn't. As there was the same monster that haunted me in my past. The thing that changed this time was it had four legs instead of two, taking the appearance of a spider that triggered my arachnophobia. I turned around and bolted away in hopes of finding a different door. One that could take me away from its screams. Its glowing red eyes. It's hard stomps on the hardwood floors. The fear it gave me. That's when I saw it. Another door. It had more of a deteriorating quality but it was still another door. I took my aching body to it, frantically attempting to open it. Once I figured it was locked I kicked it, even throwing myself on it, but it wouldn't budge for the life of me. That was until it was around two feet away from me it finally decided to give in. Too late. Too, too late. As soon as I collapsed through it into the next room, it was looming over me as its claws slowly ended my organs.

I bolted upright, my breathing getting faster and faster. I tried to control it but I couldn't. I couldn't control my tears either. I couldn't control how much my body trembled. I really wanted Jaxx to wake up and help me. No. I wasn't. This was my problem, not his. I shouldn't bother him. I began to feel light-headed as I heard movement from across the room. I was probably hearing things- The ceiling light turned on revealing Jaxx with a stuffed animal. A small fluffy looking dog with beads for eyes. He sat next to me handing me it. "It helped me with nightmares when I was little but I think you need it more than I do." He explained. "Did you name it?" I asked, sniffling. "Yeah. I was really creative with it. Fluffy." His sarcasm made me feel better. "But even with him, let me know when you have nightmares." Jaxx directed. "It won't bother you?" I checked. "Wake me up anytime you feel scared. I don't care when or how. It's you that matters."

I awoke in a forest. Great. Another nightmare... I thought. A swarm of glittering butterflies flew past me as I stood up. The trees had unnatural leaf colors like blue and purple. Its branches were pale. Meanwhile the pink grass glittered under me. What kind of nightmare was this? Birds chirped in the distance as I began to walk out. At least 'it' wasn't here. The forest was actually peaceful. Something touched my leg causing me to flinch. I looked down, ready to see a tree root grabbing at my ankles, but instead I saw a dog. A familiar one at that. I never had a childhood dog. Or any pet- I realized it was Fluffy. But why was it alive? Fluffy wagged his tail excitedly when he saw me. Aw...
