"Woah. what happened?" I ask myself as I see paramedics rolling John out on a gurney and cops at the house. As I try to get past the officer blocking the door, I hear someone speak up behind me.

"Excuse me, ma'am, but you can't..." he trails off when I turn around. "Go in," he finishes. "What are you doing here?" He questions.

"I live here. Now, can I go in?" I ask.

"Not before you tell me your name," he tells me.

"You know, I'd rather not." I shake my head.

"Evelyn, there you are. Hurry and get inside," Elena says from the door.

"So, Evelyn, huh?" He questions.

"Uh, nope, I don't know who she's talk-" Elena grabs my arm, cutting me off.

"Evelyn, hurry up, it's about Jeremy," she tells me.

I quickly turn to face her. "What about Jeremy?" I ask. She looks at the cop before she gestures to the door.

"Go on ahead, sorry for holding you back," he says before he leaves. Before Elena pulls me inside, my eyes widen when I see a text from Bonnie saying Caroline's in the hospital.

"Caroline's in the hospital," I tell her, stopping at the top of the stairs.

"I know, we can head over there after we talk to Jeremy," she says. "Hey, she'll be okay. Look, once we're done checking on Jeremy, we can head to the hospital, okay?" She says, noticing the worried look on my face.

"Okay." I nod, and we walk into the room. "What happened?" I question when I see Stefan in the room.

"He's fine," Stefan says before getting up.

"You mean I'm not a vampire? Damn it." He turns his head.

"Don't say that, Jeremy. Jeremy, why would you want that?" Elena asks.

"Did you hear about Anna? What happened to her tonight?" He questions, standing up and getting in front of Elena. "She's dead," he says sadly.

"Jeremy, Jeremy, come here, sit down." Stefan makes Jeremy sit down, grabbing his head. "I'm very sorry about Anna." Jeremy turns his head away, but Stefan makes him look at him. I turn away and notice the light on in the restroom. I walk over to turn the light off but notice a little bottle with a little bit of blood in it and an empty pill bottle with some pills around it.

"What about the pills he took?" Elena asks.

"He didn't take enough to die," I reply as I walk back into the room.

"Anna's blood actually...healed him up of that," Stefan explains. There's a knock on the door, and we all turn around to see a police officer.

"Miss Gilbert?" He says.

"Um, I'll be right there," Elena tells him.

"You both need to be at the hospital," Stefan says.

"But–" Stefan cuts her off.

"No, no. I'll stay here with Jeremy." He nods.

"No, I don't need a babysitter," Jeremy argues.

"Yes, you do," I tell him before we walk out of the room.

When they get to the hospital, they see Bonnie standing by the reception desk and walk over to her.

"Bonnie, how's Caroline?" Evelyn asks.

"She's weak." She nods. "They don't know if she's gonna make it," she tells them.
