"So, are you still going to the Lockwood charity thing?" Damon asks as he steps into the room I'm staying in.

"I don't know. I might stay. See if Caroline wants me to keep her company." There's a knock on the door. We both walk out of the room and head to the front door. Damon opens it, and Jeremy is standing there. "Jeremy, what are you doing here?"

"I need to talk to you guys," he says as he tries to walk in.

"And why do we need to talk to you?" Damon asks before trying to close the door on him, but Jeremy stops it.

"Tyler Lockwood has to kill someone to activate his curse. He's not a werewolf yet," he informs.

"Wow, fascinating. Not enough," Damon says before trying to close the door again.

Jeremy stops the door. "But Mason Lockwood is, and he's looking for a moonstone. A special rock connected to the werewolf legend. That's why he's here."

"A moonstone?" Damon questions intrigued.

"And I know where it is." He smiles.

"And you're bringing us this, why?" Damon asks.

"Do I need a reason? Look, I just want to help, okay?" Jeremy tells us.

"You shouldn't be getting so involved with this, Jeremy. I'm fine with you getting information, but I don't know about getting involved." I state.

"What'd your other sister say about this little discovery?" Damon questions. "Oh, you haven't told her, have you?"

"Well, Elena doesn't want me getting involved in all this. And Evelyn knows even if she tries to stop me, it won't work. And don't even think about compelling me again," he adds.

"I wouldn't do that to you, Jeremy. And It's true. We're both stubborn." I nod.

Damon stops him. "And you're a Gilbert, and you just can't help yourself." Jeremy nods. "Wow. Your search for life's purpose is as obvious as it is tragic."

"You gonna let me in or not?" Jeremy asks, and Damon looks at me.

I shrug. "As much as I don't want him getting involved, he won't listen, and this is your house." Damon thinks for a moment before letting him in.

"Hey, Rick." Evelyn smiles.

"Hey. what are you doing here?" He asks Jeremy.

"Helping Damon and Evelyn. I'm the one who found out about the moonstone." Alaric looks between Damon and Evelyn.

"And you're okay with this?" He questions Evelyn before turning back to Jeremy. "Does Elena know you're here?"

"Not exactly," Jeremy replies.

"What you got?" Damon asks, walking to the box Ric put on the table.

"Uh, this is Isobel's research from Duke. Her assistant sent it to me," Ric informs.

"Mm. Vanessa, the hottie," Damon says, turning to look at Jeremy and Evelyn.

Evelyn rolls her eyes. "Ah yes, Vanessa, how could we not forget the hot girl who shot an arrow at my sister?"

"You sound jealous." Damon smirks, amused.

"I'm not jealous." She shakes her head. "Now, shut up, Ric's trying to tell us something," she quickly says.

"Yeah, Vanessa. Now. Do you remember the old Aztec curse she told us about?" Ric asks.

"Sun and the moon, blah, blah, blah–" Jeremy cuts him off, walking towards Ric and Damon.
