Evelyn

I walk into my room, my curiosity piqued by a small box sitting on my nightstand. Next to it lies a note, its elegant script inviting me to open the box.

"Evelyn, I've noticed you love the color purple, but I think this color would suit you better," the note reads. I open it to see a round-cut sapphire rose gold necklace with a star and moon moissanite pendant.

"How the hell did he—" I hear a commotion downstairs. I furrow my brows, confused. I set the box back down and vamp downstairs. I find Damon chained to a chair, a poker piercing his chest.

"Really, Evelyn? Low blow. I get you're mad, but did you really have to do this?" Damon groans, his voice filled with both pain and amusement.

"What the hell happened to you?" I ask, my voice filled with both shock and amusement.

"Look, I know you have a kinky side, but I didn't know you were into this," he jokes, trying to lighten the mood.

"Really, Damon? I didn't do this." I shake my head, my face serious.

"Quit screwing around and help me," he demands, his voice laced with pain.

"Oh yeah, here, don't worry," I say sarcastically. I pull the poker out of his chest, ignoring his pained cry. I drop the poker to the floor and rip the chain off his arm. "There you go. Good luck," I smirk, turning to leave.

"Evelyn!" He calls out, but I ignore him. I hear him yell in pain as I walk away. I rush back to the room, only to find Damon burning in the sunlight. I quickly close the curtains and grab his ring, tossing it to him.

"So why do I have to come with you to get Ric?" Evelyn asked, her tone laced with boredom.

"Well, you did help with getting rid of Mason, so he's both our problems." He shrugged.

"That's true." She sighed, rolling her eyes. They pulled into town and spotted Caroline and Bonnie. Damon stops the car and they walk closer.

"Greetings, blondie...witchy. I think you got your voodoo wires all crossed when you got rid of Vicki Donovan," Damon tells Bonnie.

"What do you mean? Why?" Bonnie asked, confused.

"Because I'm pretty sure I got spit-roasted by Maon Lockwood's ghost," he answers.

"What?" Bonnie questions at the same time Caroline asks, "And why would you think that?"

"Well, I found Damon chained to a chair with a poker shoved in his chest," Evelyn explains, making Bonnie and Caroline finally notice her in the passenger seat.

"Let's just say I'm having a déjà vu."

"Seriously? Evelyn's with you?" Caroline questions annoyed.

"I'm forced to be here because a certain someone says that he's my problem too." Evelyn rolls her eyes.

"Wait, I thought you said that ghosts couldn't physically interact with people?" Caroline asked Bonnie.

"They can't!" Bonnie shakes her head.

"Yeah, well, I don't have time for a vengeful Lockwood. When I kill someone, they're supposed to stay dead," Damon stated, making Evelyn nod in agreement. "Whatever you screw up, fix it." Damon drives away.

I sigh, rolling my eyes. "Damon?" I ask, annoyed.

"Yes, Evelyn?" He replies, a playful smirk on his face.
