"Give me the phone." Cameron demands, holding his hand out.
"Cameron,"
"Give me the phone Leighton." He repeats, a bit more firm now. I shake my head defiantly.
"You don't know if it's him..."
"We can sure as hell find out right now. Give me the damn phone." Before I can protest against, his hands fumble and grab my phone. "Hello?" A bit more people start to look at us.
"Is everything okay?" Kian asks, walking over to us. I bite my nail and look up at him, nodding.
"Who is this?" Cameron asks. His face makes weird facial expressions, crossing from mad to confused.
"What's going on?" Kian asks me, but I'm too busy chewing the nails off my fingers.
"Well you got the wrong number." Cameron says aggressively. There's shouting on the other end, so I know it's my dad. Cameron hangs up the phone and gives me a dreadful look before handing me my phone.
"Who was that?" Andrea asks.
"Just some prank callers."
Kian nudges me. I look up at him with watered eyes. He asks me with his expressions if I'm okay. I know he's asking because Cameron does it all the time.
I wish I could tell him. I wish I could say it was my father. The horrible man who's done horrible things since the day he started walking this earth. But I can't do that. All I can do is wish for it.
I nod and swallow, looking away because I'm afraid if I stare at him too long, I'll actually let words slip from my lips.
"Let's set up, yeah?" Jack says, getting everybody's attention. We all nod and get back to setting up.
