When we get inside, most of the party is dead. I see Nash laughing with a red cup in his hand.
"Wanna get going?" Cameron asks. I smile and nod. "Alright give me a minute," he kisses my forehead before walking over to Nash.
I look around and see Kian storming off. I arch my eyebrows, hesitating to walk after him. My eyes follow to see Andrea yelling. I watch her lips as she spits profanities at him. She storms out of the party and I walk up the stairs after Kian.
He goes into a bathroom, secluded from others and the music. I knock on the door, putting my lips through the crack.
"Kian?"
"Occupied." He mumbles through the other side. I hear a sniffle and then a sigh.
"Kian, it's Leighton." There's silence for a while, then the door cracks open. "Hey," I smile sympathetically.
"You need to get in here?" He speaks but his eyes won't meet mine.
"No, are you okay?" I kind of force myself into the bathroom because I know he wouldn't let me willingly. "What happened down there?"
"What are you talking about?" I straight face him while crossing my arms. He frowns and sits on the toilet seat. "Andrea and I just broke up?"
"What why, you guys were practically perfect."
"Yeah on the outside. She's controlling and mean and I couldn't deal with her. She hates me, I know it." He breaks down into hysteria, covering his eyes.
"Are you okay?" His piercing red eyes look up at me. "That was a dumb question to ask, I'm sorry." He gives a faint smile before sniffling and wiping his eyes. "Do you need anything?"
He shakes his head and smiles. "I just wanna go home."
"Cam and I were about to leave, wanna come with us?" He looks out of the window then back at me.
"Sure ..."
*In The Car*
I look back at Kian who gazes out of the window, day dreaming probably.
"Kian, man are you okay?" Cameron asks, looking into his mirror.
He looks at Cameron, then back out the window. "Yeah, just tired. Turn left up here." Cameron does as told and the car falls silent again. Eventually we get to Kian's house. Cameron puts the car in park and looks back at Kian.
"Thanks guys," his voice cracks. He jiggles the door handle before stumbling out of the car. He slumps over, walking up to his door. My hands move faster than my mind and I open the car odor.
"Kian!" I shout, slamming the door behind me and running up to me. He turns around and I rush to him, before pressing my body against his. He's warm. Yet cold at the same time. He's so much taller than me, so when I wrap my arms around his neck, he has to dip down to actually grip my body. "I'm sorry you don't feel better."
I feel him smile, as his breath hits the surface of my neck. He pulls away and looks down on me smiling. "It's fine Leighton, thanks."
I pull away and smile. His shoulders slouch once more before unlocking his door and walking in. I strut slowly back to the car and get in. I look over and find Cameron's eyes already on me. He smiles and rubs my thigh.
"I wish he felt better," I frown.
He rubs my thigh before leaning in and kissing my cheek. "You did the best you can." I turn and slightly smile at him.
"That's why I love you."
