A/N: ATTENTION ! This story will probably end soon sooo yah I'm in the works of writing a mystery story which is big for me because I've never written a mystery story before but I'm not sure if I'll post it or not. If I do, take some time to check it out for me? Thanks!(: P.S., this chapter's gonna be short.
________
I look at myself in the mirror. I smile, mostly thinking about the endless possibilities and ideas that Cameron has in mind for tonight. But I also smile because I'm happy. About myself and the life I'm living right now. Because things are going well the gaiety I'm feeling just keeps coming and coming and I don't want it to leave me.I finish doing my makeup and hair. I slip on a floral skater dress, a light denim jean jacket, and some all black Toms.
I look down at my phone and see Cam texted telling me he'll pick me up in 30 minutes. By now, the sun is kissing the sky goodbye and the moon is coming out for its night shift.
I walk downstairs to see my mom doing crossword puzzles and my brother watching TV, both on the couch.
My mom smiles before saying, "Oh, Leighton you look so beautiful. Going on a date with Cameron?"
I smile, letting my fingers play with the ends of my dress. "Yeah, it's our anniversary." I respond, curtseying at the end of my sentence and giggling.
"How fancy." My brother mumbles, uninterested.
My mom and I both straight face him. He smirks to himself, a very smart ass smirk, and turns the TV up.
My mom gets up and walks towards me. "Well be careful and have fun okay honey?" I smile and kiss her cheek. She takes the stairs slowly, but eventually leaves, leaving me with my brother.
He looks at me, chewing his tongue out of old habit. "Anniversary huh?" I look up at him. "What does he have in mind?"
"I don't know. He won't tell me."
He pauses the TV and looks directly in my eyes. "Well just ... um ... be careful I guess." He swiftly gets up, hugs me, then goes into the family room.
"Okay?" I mumble to myself, staring at the ground, pondering his words.
