All people are standing on the field near the sea quite away from the castle. There are people who are present in the funeral; the families, the knights and then there's the princess' dragon, Syrax. And of course, the queen and her baby's body. Both are placed on top of a rock and are fully covered with a cloth of pyres.
Dorcas and her family are there to pay their respects, the king's hand and his son, the other council members, the queen's brother who stands with his chin up but tears betrayed him and escaped from his eyes. The king, the princess, Daemon came, Alaric and the other knights surrounding.
The princess stood at the front, creating a wide distance from her father who has his brother Daemon beside him. The princess' anger towards the king didn't pass quickly and she doesn't expect it to for a long time.
They all watch the princess as she stands closer to the bodies than the others. They all watch her with pity and saddened eyes while the princess herself prevents herself from crying. She choke on her cry that makes her body tremble as she stares at her mother and brother's covered body.
The son of Julius suddenly appears behind her, "The king is asking you to do the honor, princess." His raspy voice spoke up causing the princess to flinch a bit. She slowly turned around with her reddened and puffy eyes from crying to look at the charming man behind her. Long curly blonde locks and thin eyes as it stares down to the princess.
"They're waiting for you." Daemon, her uncle suddenly appeared.
Rhaenyra inhaled deeply before peaking behind them to look at her father who's already staring at the princess.
She spoke to Daemon without tearing her eyes away from the king, "I wonder if, during those few hours my brother lived, my father finally found happiness."
Her uncle stared at her with sympathy, he thinks for a moment to answer, "Your father needs you more now than he ever has."
She stares at her father with so much pain in her eyes, half of it is anger but most of it is pain. She tries to stop another tear from forming but it was inevitable. The king saw a glimpse of tear running down through the princess' eyes before she turn around once again to look at the dead covered body of her mother and brother.
"I will never be a son." She heaved out. She stepped forward as her dragon, Syrax watched her.
She hesitated and took a moment to look at the figure of her mother and brother laying while covered. She attempted to speak but the word got caught in her throat. She takes a look back to her father who didn't return the look this time. She swiftly turns back to her front with pain on her face.
"Dracarys!" She commanded her dragon Syrax who approached towards the bodies. The dragon growled as it slowly opened its mouth and gave the bodies a blow of fire, burning it.
The sight almost made the princess want to crumble right then and there. Her heart ached as she tried to inhale but good thing her friend Dorcas appeared next to her and held her in her arms.
"All will be fine, Nyra." She whispers to her friend with her eyes closed. Their heads touching each other to the side.
After the funeral that ended almost evening, Rhaenyra wandered around the castle with a down expression on her face. Exhausted and in despair.
As she walks through the hall, her eyes are only landed on the ground that caused her to bump into someone, as if bumping into a brick wall, the person surely is hard."Bloody he-"
"My apologies, princess." The familiar raspy voice caused her to freeze and look at who she just bumper into.
