"Black flowered lily,"

The princess muttered under her breath with late realization. Dorcas heard a murmur, glancing at Rhaenyra who was wide eyed at her work

"What was that, princess?" She asked after hearing the Targaryen's inaudible voice. This caused Rhaenyra to shot her head up in a surprised manner— realizing she had said it out loud. Her mouth is currently agape, trying to find the words to say but struggles to name a word out— she shook her head eagerly, "N-nothing," She nervously glanced back down to Dorcas' needlework

"I just said that that is a black flowered lily you just did..." Rhaenyra looked back to her friend, swallowing a lump in her throat while trying to straighten her back.

Dorcas knitted her eyebrows at this, taken a back slightly, "Oh, yes, I did. Is something wrong?"

Gwenyth and Alicent looked at the both of them and watched as Rhaenyra shake her head, "No..." She paused

"No, I— a memory just slipped into my mind, that is all.." The princess continued with formality.

"Really? How so?" Dorcas pushed, clearly curious and unaware of the princess' discomfort

"I red a book titled A black flowered lily once." The silver head answered truthfully, surprising Dorcas

"Really? but isn't that a love book?" Dorcas grinned and gasped, "Have you really, princess?" She leaned in with excitement in her eyes

Rhaenyra looked at her with hesitation. Better to look like a fool than to expose her and Alicent's tension that same day. She nodded shyly, making Dorcas squeal.

"Oh! I apologize, I always get so excited when Nyra has done something she hasn't before! She's finally red a romantic book! Have I got into your head, sister?" Alicent watched as the blonde giggle through her whole sentence. She gripped onto her own fabric when Dorcas was comfortably leaning and touching the princess' arm and thigh unconsciously.

Rhaenyra forced a small chuckle, she clicked her tongue, "Simmer down, everybody changes, have you heard?"

Dorcas smiled at Gwenyth who smiled back at her in amusement between the blonde and the silver head's interaction. "Does the princess not like to read romantic books for you to be acting this way, lady Dorcas?"

Dorcas glanced at her, smile not leaving her face, she nodded. Gwenyth chuckled and continued doing her needlework while Alicent took a deep breath before darting her eyes away.

"She usually read books about Targaryen history, lady Gwenyth. Our princess here is preparing well." Dorcas scrunched her nose, mindlessly saying of what she did not interpret well.

Rhaenyra's face slowly fell, so did Alicent's. "Preparing for what?" Rhaenyra confronted, looking towards her. Her face seems to be collecting herself and it could be seen through by anyone who isn't a fool enough.
