"Where is the princess?" The king asked as they walked towards the dining hall."I do not know, your grace. Forgive me." Julius responded beside him.
"Alicent will be here in a minute, we must all give her a warm welcome." He sighed in distress.
Dorcas gave him a side glance as she walked behind them, unsure if she should say anything to the king regarding the princess' whereabouts. She bit her lip before choking on her words, "The princess is flying Syrax, your grace.." She fidgets on her fingers.
They all paused to give the young girl a look, "Until now?" He shook his head before starting to walk again.
"I believe she is planning on coming back for a few days.." Her words came out as silent but able to be heard. The king froze once again, he turned to the blonde and approached her slowly.
"What do you mean?" He asked in a wary tone.
The girl suddenly tensed at the attention she's getting from the king. Her eyes widened as she backed away a bit in fear. "I..T-the princess wanted to clear her head, your grace."
King Viserys gave her a hard stare before turning around to start walking again furiously. "Clear her head?" He scoffed in disbelief while muttering how the princess is acting out of behavior and why Dorcas hadn't tried to stop the princess.
Once they reached the dining hall, all of them sat down on their seats. The king sat down at the edge with Dorcas at the side, leaving a seat vacant next to the king. The other chair on the other side is also left vacant as they're reserving it for the soon to be queen and her father beside. Caspain sat in front of Dorcas with his father on his side while at the other edge there sat Daemon.
The king let out a sigh once he landed on his chair. Julius seemed to notice this so he spoke, "I could send the men to search for the princess, your grace."
"How can a man who only rides horses and ships can locate the princess and her dragon's whereabouts." He scoffed. "Let my daughter be, she has her dragon, she cannot be harmed."
Dorcas pressed her lips on a thin line as she looked down, fiddling with her fingers. Caspain glanced at her before giving the candles on the table a hard stare.
Meanwhile, on the princess' whereabouts she lands with her dragon to a very specific place. To the Bohemonds. Her mother's house before marrying the king of Targaryen.
Her dragon terrified a lot of people in the village causing them to run and scatter, panicking all over the place. Rhaenyra stared at the people down in worry, "Well Syrax, looks like I'm gonna have to land you somewhere else." She sighed at her dragon.
She landed her dragon on a wide field before getting off her. She caressed her dragon's scale right on its face, "I'll be back." She whispered.
After landing her dragon, she approaches the gate but the men of the house Bohemond seem to not know who the princess is. Two guards took out their swords as they slowly approached her that made her stop and tensed.
"Who are you and why have you come to Bohemonds?" The knight asked cautiously.
Rhaenyra's breath hitched as she watches them, "I am princess Rhaenyra, daughter of King Viserys Targaryen and Queen Esther Targaryen, the heir to the throne."
The men stopped on their tracks with a surprised look as they stared at Rhaenyra's purple eyes, they slowly brought their arms down to their sides.
"I am looking for my uncle Ector." She said. Both men gave each other a glance and then back to Rhaenyra.
To the princess' much surprise, both men fell on their knees. "Princess." They bowed their heads.
"Please rise. Bring me to Ector."
Both men immediately got up their feets and gave her a nod by her command. "Right this way, princess." They turned to the side to let the princess enter.
Back at the castle, a knight entered the dining hall and announced, "The lady Alicent and her father are finally here, your grace."
The king stood in his place and so did the others, "Bring them in." He said. They all turned their heads towards the entrance direction as they awaited for the Hightowers to enter.
The Hightowers finally entered with guards escorting them. There stood Alicent in her dress as she clasped her hands on her stomach, her face bares a face of trying to get herself together as her eyes met the king's.
She and her father stopped near the table and acknowledged the king, "It's a pleasure to be here, your grace." Alicent spoke and bowed along with her father.
"As it is ours." The king responded with a smile before inviting them to sit down at the two vacant seats beside him. They all finally sat down silently before the king broke the silence, "How was the travel?"
"The travel's been nothing but nice, my king." Alicent smiled. Her eyes wander at the people at the table. Her gaze fell upon the blonde, Dorcas'. She tilted her head to the side with a frown and a small smile, "Forgive me but where is Rhaenyra, your grace?"
When the king was about to answer, Alicent's father cut in, "We're.. very sorry about the Queen, your grace. We were truly saddened."
Viserys' gaze landed on Otto, he gave him a small smile before nodding, "Indeed.." He paused, "But I believe there is no need to talk about it now considering that- it is the past and we can do nothing about it anymore."
All men at the table nod their heads at this. The maids entered the dining area and landed fine feasts on the table one by one. Once they are done, the King's cup bearer poured wine in each of the person's goblets.
Dorcas couldn't help but felt saddened by the princess' absence. She has harmlessly threatened the princess to attend or else it would hurt the blonde but the princess is yet to come. She looked down on her lap as she plays with the ring on her finger. She silently sighed, what she said before, without the princess she feels out of place and irrelevant to be in this dinner but what more could she do? She's already at the table, it would be a disrespect to leave and make the Hightowers feel bad of themselves.
Before the king could grab the goblet of his wine another knight appeared on the door, "Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in your presence, your grace. Along with Lord Ector Bohemond of house Bohemond."
The two names made all of them turn their heads in surprise. Dorcas immediately lifted her head up to look. She suddenly felt a rush of relief when her eyes laid on the silver haired girl who walks side by side with her uncle. Her dragon riding outfit was changed by a dress. Her appearance made her seem all ready and fresh while she wears her silver jewelries and her hair is well combed. Her uncle's size is making her look tiny as her height only reaches Ector's shoulder.
"Rhaenyra, Ector." The king uttered with a frown. Daemon raised his eyebrows at the sight before glancing at his brother.
"Please, sit. Join us as we enjoy the presence of the Lady Alicent." Says Viserys.
Rhaenyra's gaze fell upon Alicent who's already been staring at her once the princess arrived. She could not believe how the princess had grown overtime and she couldn't deny the beauty that Rhaenyra holds. Her lips moved itself and tugged a small smile towards Rhaenyra but the purple eyed girl only switched her gaze towards her father, this made Alicent's smile disappear at the princess' ignorance to her.
The princess sat beside Dorcas who had been waiting for her all this time, and in front of her is the Lady Alicent Hightower who coudln't help but to give her glances.
This will surely be a long dinner as Rhaenyra thinks.
